Assalamu alaykum I'm a return to Islam (30 days old). Im from the region where there's hardly any muslims. It's difficult to find siblings since many don't talk language and are busy using their families, personally, I haven't met any. The only real islamic I understand (the imam) is "deobandi." Through the duration of my research of islam before I reverted it had been all "salafi" sites, books etc. but I'm now confused between your two. Any informative data on the distinctions between "deobandi's" and "salafies" could help a great deal.
