Default Traditional parliament grants Athens' first mosque strategy in years
If perhaps the fat rich Saudi Arabia and Gas rich Qatar were headed by forward thinking rulers. I am talking about Greece, Portugal and to some degree Iceland are now therefore eager for the money and are attempting to sell off every thing to Chinese. This could have now been the very best time for those oil rich Arab countries to invest and buy in Masjids and other Islamic focused items in as an extended period those countries. But you know that's not gonna happen and you know why... Greece's parliament on Wednesday permitted the building of a mosque in Athens to meet a long-standing need by tens and thousands of Muslim citizens, a government source said. The task to construct the Greek capital's first standard Muslim place of worship in years was supported by 198 deputies from the center, right and left (out of 300) contrary to the arguments of 16 nationalist MPs. The mosque strategy was contained in a breeding ground ministry statement controlling illegal building, still another long-running problem in Greece. It requires the restoration of a current state making a military base in the run-down Athens commercial area of Elaionas. A large number of Muslims from Arab countries, Africa and the Indian subcontinent function and live in Athens without established prayer sites or perhaps a graveyard, despite years of claims by successive Greek governments. Mosques have been crafted by muslim faithful out of rented apartments and disused stores which are often focused in racist attacks. Rage towards migrants and episodes have increased on the streets of Athens recently whilst the debt-hit nation fights a developing recession that's produced a large number of job layoffs. A staunchly Orthodox state with bitter memories of not exactly four decades of Ottoman Turkish rule, Greece currently provides approved Muslim religious websites only near its northeastern boundary with Turkey in which a Muslim group of Turkish origin lives. All records of Islam were expunged in Athens in the first 19th century when Christianity was renewed, and resistance and bureaucratic wrangling from regional church leaders and mayors have since delayed ideas for a mosque and graveyard. http://www.loonwatch.com/2011/09/gre...onwatch.com%29
