Aslamo Alikum, Expensive All, Hamza (ra ) was favorite uncle of our merciful Prophet (sws). Wahshi was an Ethopian servant. His hateful master desired to simply take vengeance from Prophet (sws). If he might destroy Hamza therefore he assured Wahshi independence. In Battle of Uhud, Wahshi ambushed Hamza and killed him. Later Hinda, who had been also enemy of Islam mutilated Hamza's physique and ate his liver. H-e thought large amount of stress and wept bitterly, when Prophet (sws) saw such a disorder of his uncle. After couple of years, our Prophet (sws) conquered Makkah, Wahshi left from Makkah convinced that Prophet (sws) may destroy him for killing his uncle Hamza. Wahshi heard from people, that Prophet of Islam is extremely merciful, he forgives people regardless of how good is their transgression, therefore he dared to return to Makkah and asked forgiveness. Prophet (sws) forgave Wahshi but asked him to not are available in front of him since his face tells him the memory of his uncle and causes him lots of suffering. Wahshi (ra) accepted followed and Islam Prophet (sws) and never can be found in front of him while h-e was living. Years later, following the demise of Prophet (sws), a prophet Musaylimah arose. Musaylimah army struggled exactly the same Wahshi and Muslims killed the worst enemy of Islam and thought quite happy. Please see the complete account as of this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahshi_ibn_Harb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamza_i...bd_al-Muttalib Conclusion: Prophet (sws) was usually regarded as a reliable, sincere and merciful individual by both his friends and foes. Consider, 1400 years straight back, there clearly was no-way to speak to areas and far-away people. But the news that people can be forgiven by Prophet of Islam regardless of how good is their crime was prevalent everywhere. And it was this news that created Wahshi (ra) to return and accept Islam.
