Default Scientific studies on halal meat
salams
New medical studies from the University of Damascus in Syria, have proved that the mentioning of the NAME OF GOD(ALLAH )/TASMIAH on the conscious living hearing animal at time of slaughter, do ACT AS A SEDATIVE/TRANQUILLISER to both: man and animal, and will purify too the meat from germs and bacteria.(Fascinating) They compared it with many types of non-halal meat (even stunned)

This interesting medical discovery was repeated many times, and it gave the same result!
This was signed by over 25 Professors and doctors in the University.(there are DVD about it in both English and Arabic and a book in Arabic about this discovery)
this is the documentary on it

I'm curious about their methodology? For example, did they have a control group where they recited a similarly sounding phrase that wasn't the tasmiyyah? Was it a double-blind experiment? Were there a large enough sample size of animals, and were they truly randomized? This would be really cool to follow up on, I hope they get it peer reviewed and published.

I don't dispute that miracles occur, it is part of our faith. However here is a rule that I have observed ->
I've never heard of a religious miracle drug or practice that:
a) Is general in nature. For example, in this case - the sedative and antiseptic effect of tasmiyya allegedly applies to all animals slaughtered.
b) Can be objectively proven. Not based on someone 'feeling better', or some similar subjective measure.

I asked a question along these lines to a Mufti several years back. I asked, if some day there existed an experiment one could perform that absolutely proved that Allaah swt exists - with the same level of assurance that we have in gravity (for example - that if we drop something, it *will* fall to the ground), would Iman be accepted? The Mufti said that Iman would not be accepted after that - as it would not be Iman upon the ghayb anymore.
