A well known young Imam in London posted this recently on his facebook. MashaAllah! Some Facts About Dr Mursi: 1.He decided to live in his house instead of the presidential palace only agreeing to go there for work 2.He met the families of the shuhada who died in the protest 2 days ago 3.He saw the soldiers standing in the boiling heat outside the presidential palace, he forbade them to stand in the boiling heat 4.He doent wear any bullet proof shirts, as he showed yesterday in Tahrir, saying i fear no one but Allah 5.He forbade his car to block roads, and only a limited amount of cars to accompany him, Mubaruks cars when going anywhere in cairo would block the road for 2-3 hours causing chaos in traffic. 6.He went to Ayn Shams(just a normal area), yesterday and was speaking to the local people at night, and a fruit seller said who are you, he replied im Mohammed Mursi, the seller couldn't believe his eyes how the president of Egypt is out in the street speaking to the people and him. |

Another fascinating fact about Dr. Mursi is that for his speech upon winning the election he said;
I have been given authority over you, but I am not the best of you. If I do well help me, if I do wrong set me right. Obey me so long as I obey Allah and His Messenger (saws) but if I disobey Allah and His Messenger (saws) you owe me no obedience thus repeating the speech made by Hadhrat Abu Bakr (raa) when he was made Caliph. |

My heart sank when in the wake of the Arab spring it was reported the Muslim Brotherhood would not stand for election. Alhamdulillah fast forward a year and they are in power.
The ummah is crying out for a leader, and I think everyone wants to believe in Dr Mursi. The real acid test will come with the new regime's relationship with america and that jewish stain that occupies Palestine. |

![]() Although there may be many things we may disagree with the Ikhwaan, we should not focus on its relationship with the cancer in the Middle East as some sort of measure of their worth. The Ikhwaan are ruling Egypt, where nearly half the population did not vote for them. Egypt has to become an example so that it can be used to increase support for Islamic parties around the Muslim world. So, the first thing that the Ikhwaan should focus on is cleaning house. They should not remain silent on the cancer but they should not take any unilateral steps yet since America is right behind there, feeding the cancer. |
