I think he is Chishti and was given Khilafat by the late Sayyid Asad Madani of India, who is the son of the well known Shaykh al-Sayyid Hussain Ahmed al-Madani. They are all Deobandi in maslak.

As far as what i know hadhrat damat barakatuhum is very humble,hospitable and down to earth so its very easy to approach him.

2) Hazrat doesn't speak English but most of the Ulama around him do.


4) Hazrat opposes the Saudi moon-sighting (in line with Ulama of Darul-uloom Deoband, Pakistan, South Africa etc.) vocally and vociferously; therefore there is a lot of propaganda against him and people treat him with dis-respect despite his rank and stature...

5) Hazrat prays his 5 times Salah in Masjid Farooq (WalSall) and lives across the Street from the Mosque.

6) Since his by-pass Hazrat has been active Masha'Allah.

Many Mashaikh in UK have warned laymen and scholars alike against letting their tongues loose against Hazrat and against Maulana Salman (RA, Coventry) who incidentally favoured Saudi sighting!

...Because people disagree with their respective opinions on moon sighing ....

There are many English speaking people around Hazrat particularly when he is at Idara or conducting Majlis (usually Wednesday's at Idara); although Hazrat rarely gives Bayans at the Majlis it is usually done by Shaykhul-Hadeeth Maulana Sameerud-deen Qasimi [Commentator of Hidaya & Quduri] when he is around or by any other Maulana; Hazrat leads Dhikr' though...

i was made to take Hazrats right/haq from him back in around very late 90's or early 00's when he visited Dewsbury Markaz - i was a gullible TJ back then :-( looking back now each time i see that 'person' who made me take hazrat's haq by lying to him makes me wanna throw up . may allah forgive me and that TJ elder. may he put barakah in hazrats life and the life of that TJ elder.
