Default Disabled Muslim's Needs
AssalaamsWW,

Just reading todays Magazine feature on the Beeb http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19341500 on Paralympic Games makes one wonder what are we as a community (and as individuals) doing for those of our ummah who are disabled. Im sure there are muslim run organisations worldwide who cater for specific needs for specific disabled groups but its probs hard to know where and what these orgs are. I thought it’d be useful to start a thread off to note the orgs. Please add to it. A simple basic rule might be helpful such as name of org (plus website), location and what it offers to what disabled group.

i.e.

Madresah an Noor for the Blind www.mnblind.org.
South Africa.
Huffaz and Aalim studies for the blind and printing of Braille quran and misc Islamic books.

Excellent thread. I'm not really aware of any organizations, but I think that may be a sign that not enough is being done! Hoping to learn more.
