Default counter hate
Asalaam
Are there any others who try to counter islam hate especially from christians and other far right like minded groups.

It would be good if we can get togerther like how the few christians spew their hatred everywhere with no one to counter them, some of the refutations are very basic all we need is to get together, even many muslims who come across these sites have their imaan damaged from them.

any feedback and advice would be beneficial, please contribute.

brother its is not our job to go to anti islamic sites, chatrooms ect... and start countering their arguments. it is upto to scholars to refute anti islamics. our job is to avoid going to places where there is attacks on the prophet muhammad pbuh. we should not even be reading or listening or going to these places.

the message from me is to leave these anti islamics alone. they are not going to become muslims at all. leave the refutations to scholars

I totally disagree with your advise brother.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to non muslim sites and finding out what the kufr thinks about Islam/muslims and why they believe what they do about us.

Just make sure that you are strong in the deen before you frequent these sites.

You will learn a ton; not only about them, but also about yourself and Islam in general.

The bonus is that it will greatly help you in any dawa situations with non muslims.

so what can be done, all the chrisitan and far right tend to stick together regurgitating the same quotes over and over again, I feel it would if the muslims can get together to counter this in a group, going around blogs or sites together.

I recently was on the forum of a famous group causing strife against muslims in the west, their forums attracts a lot of views though has few contributors, many of their lack basic knowledge which is why they decided to ban though I did nothing untoward other than make them think a bit and male them look simple.

I agree with revert2001 that you need to be prepared as at first it can shock your imaan though as you begin to refute them you gradually learn more about islam and how to give dawah online.

brother u have not understood. there is absolutely severe issue with going to anti islamic places and listening to them insulting the prophet pbuh. u have to understand even listening and looking is a sin and causes severe damage to the spiritual state of ur heart.

brother our aqeedah and imans are very weak as well as lack of knowledge. their attacks on islam will cause our iman to be ruined. because we dont have deep understanding they will say things which we cant answer and will cause severe doubts to enter our hearts which will eventually result im apostacy.

it is not our jobs to go to anti islamic sites and even debate with islam haters. this should be squarely left on the shoulders of scholars

Alhumdullilah I am VERY GLAD you started this thread.
I engage in refuting attacks against Muslims all the time. You are right, ones imaan needs to be strong and i strongly advise anyone who does not want to engage in this to stay well away!
They come up with very ingenious attacks - there are jews working specifically to destroy the muslim ummah - these sites include *********************** mappingsharia.com for example.
Evangelical christians also have several dozen sites.
And then there are athiestic sites which are also slanderous.
__
I do not advise to go onto ANTI muslim sites to refute them. That is pointless. However in areas of neutral discourse, a Muslim presence i feel is very important. These are on western newspapers for example (and their websites). If Muslim brothers and sisters are unable to keep their cool, and launch ad hominem attacks against their opponents, then this is very bad and if you feel too hurt to respond, - i would advise to not respond at all.
These Kafiroon HATE it when you respond to them calmly and properly. if you give them the proper Islamic response they despise it and will not respond back - if you rise up - they will love it - that is their aim.
___
I will give just a few quick examples of the work i did this week
An anti-muslim website was smuggling in ITS citations into wikipedia - i went through wikipedia and removed them.
An anti-muslim website was stating a MUSLIM scholar supported its work. I wrote to the scholar who thanked me and ensured his word cannot be slandered.
I explained several times to people that Islam condemns Honour killings and pasted the relevant fatawa from darulifta
Several times i reiterated the meaning of Jihad and Sharia - a LOT of non-muslims think Jihad means terrorism and Sharia means killing/oppressing women - this needs to be countered.
^^^^^^
I only write this to tell you that ONE person can make a difference but we are an UMMAH and we need 10,000 people - for this to work we need a lot of youngsters to be frank - who are strong in their deen. They have a lot of time and energy - I do not!
___
The Internet is a world of memes and thought processes. Muslims are MASSIVELY weak in their online presence. Type in any Islamic term and within 2-3 links you will have anti muslim websites coming up. Whenever people search for islam - they find such links. We have to work hard to spread OUR good links and to marginalise this filth - this is an ongoing war and islamophobes have already declared war on us.

Does Allah swt not make their hearts beat? Does he not show his Rahma to them? IF he does not give up on them - why should we? I agree there are many shayateen in this world - but there are also people who are impressionable, and these people, if they are introduced to good ideas about Islam - they will come towards our deen - and if they are given bad ideas - they will move away.

Brother your post is spot on.

I have been the lone Islamic voice on several forms where muslims and the deen are slandered and ridiculed. Will I be able to convert the most virulent Islamophobes? Nope.

But these nitwits are not the main target for dawa.

The real potential for conversion is the hundreds of people reading the threads every day.

When they see you remain calm and explain your postion on Islamic issues; it shatters the stereotype of the fanatical muslim.

You get their respect and they will listen to what you have to say about Islam.

Please give suggestions on how you would visualise a Pro-Muslim 'taskforce' to combat this hate and spread Dawah online. And let us know of any organisations we can join if they exist.

Brother, when I accepted Islam; I joined the winning team.

But you ain't gonna win by sitting on the bench.

You have to learn the rules and get in the game.

Fact........

we have some options:
1. target individual bloggers high up in the google rankpage where our posting will mean that we are not swamped and we can reply in a more better way plus giving dawah to the blogger.
2. go on media organisation and refute some haters, though here you will be swamped with posts and not given time to respond.
3. go on small forums where there are many visitors, this is probably the best way though you get banned quick even if you be civil.

we could take each others email address or make a google group or something and we could invite others from other forums as I've noticed there are many daees on other forums who are more experienced though they tend to be busy.

So experienced brothers what do you suggest as its a very clear reality that muslims are massively under represented which is why so many hate sites on search engines, the truth is these are my suggestion and I am not sure what the way forward is.

As the jamaat brothers give dawah and go in multiples the same is needed for us otherwise it takes a toll and you can easily get sucked in, not to believeing what is being said but to anger and imaan becoming weak.

please contribute.

write a blog. create a brand through it by making your own youtube channel, daily motion channel, metacafe channel, facebook page, custoizied email address, twitter page, archive account. all 'self-branded'.
hit on the hot topics via your blog. then market them through the media i discussed. reach out to the audience. comment on various other blogs via your blog brand.

videos are best.
