Default The Blessing of Pain...
Assalamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I never usually start threads like this but it is just so amazing mashaa Allah I had to share.

Today on the internet I came across an article listing some medical mysteries. One of them was about a girl who would not feel any pain! Not at all subhanALlah. My first thought was how wonderful...then I realised what a state the girl lived in. She lost a lot of her teeth (almost toothless), she had done some bad damage to one of her eyes and probably sustained other injuries over time.

That's when it clicked in my mind al hamdu lillah that how merciful is our Lord! Exalted be He. We human beings complain of pain, but if we did not fear pain then how would we save ourselves from such injuries. We could just jump out of our windows if wanted to, but al hamdu lillah we know that if we did we would be in a lot of pain.

So how sweet is the mercy of our Lord, it's just very amazing subhanAllah that people complain upon pain and diistance from their Lord sometimes. If there was no pain in life how would we know what is harmful for us? How would we prevent ourselves from Harm?

See pain as a sabab (cause) for the safety of man.

Look at the emotional paiin people face, if we had not feared such pain how would our relationships be? We would be a disintegrated society.

SubhanAllah. I happened to also bounce on videos on youtube yesterday of a child going through vaccinations. Their parent is forcing them to sit through such agony, but the parent does so because he/she knows it is for the welfare of their child.

Now our Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is 70 times more loving to us than our mothers. SubhanAllah.

We should never ask for hardships as we must show our weakness to Allah, but if Allah decides to put us through some pain we should ponder upon His mercy and love for us. It's amazing also mashaa Allah that once pain is on our shoulders it is an excuse inshaa Allah for Allah to forgive our sins.

SubhanAllah.

May Allah help us to remain steadfast on deen. Ameen.

Good post sis.

I believe there is also a hadith which says that when a believer goes through pain, whether it be even a splinter in his finger, some of his sins are forgiven as compensation for this hardship.
so next time you stub your toe or something, say Alhamdulillah!

SubhanAllah! What a beautiful way to look at His Mercy in the ability He has given us to experience pain. JazakAllah khayran for sharing your thoughts.

Leprosy attacks the nerves and destroys the sense of pain and even touch. We see lepers with terrible disfigurements, most of that is caused by wounds and injuries that they didn't notice because they cannot feel pain or touch, and the wounds got infected, and often with gangrene. Lepers can lose fingers, toes, feet, hands, to this.

We are infinitely lucky to be Muslims.
If we weren't - we'd be in an infinite amount of pain.
In the aakhirah.
Lucky are we.
