I am aware of the ruling that pictures of animate objects such as people or animals should not be on clothing but how about objects such as a robot? This is not an actual animate object but it does have eyes?

Why on earth someone would even have picture of animal on ones clothes.. the other day this lafanaga Arabi kid came to Eid salat with picture of scull like images.. His father was wearing a thoab... Just like many of the arabis of today their daughter dress like a slut in hijab and their kid dress like a pimp whils parents wear thoab and abayaa. No Tarbiya and result is inevitable!!! In ramadhan, some of the cafes were full of hijabis and their boyfriend whilst taraweeh salat is taking place in 1 minutes walk away!!

I too have heard/read that we should not wear clothes with pictures of animate objects on them. Can someone please post the hadith regarding this or suggest any books to read which has this information.
I know there is hadith that Rasulullah ( pbuh) told about the brightly colored fabric which distracted him during salah which he then said to remover. regarding hijab anything that is too flashy draws attention of the onlooker towards the woman. Regarding pictures in general keeping pictures in the house has something to do with Shaytan & angels not visiting the house. What about painting of pictures? Is having inanimate objects on dress allowed?

I do agree that there is lack of tarbiya. I think that perhaps it is this thought that they are just kids so let them wear this, they are not accountable, later when they grow up they will do what is right. In reality Isalms teachings should be instilled in children only then will they become adult muslims. InshaALLAH. Let us not forget that children have rights over parents & one of the rights is for parents to teach them.
But we do not have the right to judge irrespective. At the time of the Rasulullah(pbuh) the hardships were more than our times because they had to fight against the kuffar & their own Nafs and accept the message but there was also less easy access to haram as it is these days ( media etc)

Let us give naseeha to our muslim brothers & sisters in a good way and try to sympathize & empathize with them. Let us not be harsh. And work on becoming good ourselves Insha'ALLAH

And please the word lafanga???!!! we are after all talking about our muslim brothers and sisters. Let us use good words in tongue & writing. We will be asked about what we thought, said & even wrote and read! May ALLAH protect us all from Hell fire.

I do not have any information of any fatwa given by any scholar unfortunately so I do not know.
A robot is after all designed by humans to resemble humans in many ways. Since the robot is having features similar to creation in my opinion I would not have it on a dress or have pictures of it at home.
I think its best to stick to colored clothes in one or more shades nothing flashy , geometric prints like we see in old Islamic art in mosques (like square ) , no writing, no satanic motif (like fire), no creature or creature like things and must not use anything that resembles those that non muslims use.

Brother, please do not make assumptions that they were boyfriend/girlfriend. For all we know they were young husbands and wives. Whilst it is highly beneficial to go to taraweeh perhaps they were young couples looking to maintain good bonds. Also it is possible they were not boyfriend/girlfriends either - that perhaps they are playing with fire (e.g. flirting or talking, without actually doing anything more i.e. zinna)

Totally agree with you brother. "suspecting" is not good. I know of many cases where a girl was spotted with a boy later they found out it was her brother. A woman could be out with men who are related to her, an uncle, a brother, husband. and as muslims we should think only good of our brothers & sisters. Wish them Jannah. Whether you meet a nun or a scantily clad woman on the street that does not mean you should comment or think bad of her. because one never knows for what small good ALLAH rewards and for what small bad ALLAH punishes. Think what if a sinner later in life became pious through the Mercy of ALLAH & ALLAH forgives them but will we not be questioned on the DAY of Judgement about what we thought about someone without knowing the facts? Moreover it should not be our business. We should not be looking at who is sitting with whom doing what instead if we are ourselves pious then we should head to the mosque to do OUR taraweeh! And ask ALLAH to forgive all & guide them to light.

brother in doubtful matters its best to be on the safe side. How can it be explicitly not allowed when there was no such thing as robots then? However best you ask a sheikh who can give a fatwa on this. I personally will not wear it.

By the way why do you want to wear something there is a doubt about anyways? if its taking up so much time & effort on your part to think about it then why waste part of your life after this matter? The prophet (pbuh) always chose to do things the easy way if he had a choice as long as it was halal.
