time to do away with forced marriages inshallah and let muslims live islam in a beautiful way that will let muslim youth feel happy and let non muslims see islam in a beautiful manner inshallah t'ala

when non muslims see a happy young muslim couple walking hand in hand and smiling, the sister hijabbed and the brother with a beard, and they think of how in western society they will get used and abused by any man, inshallah they will see our way of life as beautiful and happy. a young girl forced into marriage and going through hell just makes islam look terrible.

there is no harm a sister finding a good brother who she likes and is pleased with and getting married the islamic way and living as a married couple. if this doesnt sink in to the muslim community soon, we should expect to see more youth leaving islam or committing zina as they will see the western way of life as beautiful and free and happy compared to the hell of forced marriages to cousins and honour killings

They are not living Islam but living self imposed Jahila. Their religious claim is superficial. The best way to gauge a person conviction of ones faith is by their business dealing. their willingness to help, their humility, their modesty.
Ones faith gets tested with ones family, wealth, women in most cases. Religion takes a secondary role when this happens.

I heard that the shafiyyah said a man can marry off his daughter without asking permission, but the shaykh who said this also said that people shouldn't do that nowadays.
