Default House of Saud
I think we all are very ungrateful for what the House of Saud has done. They follow Islam the most orthodox way and all Muslims should appreciate the fact that the Custodian of the Holy Mosques is a sincere Muslim. I just watched salatul janazah for Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz (allah yer7amo) and it was simply touching as the Saudis have so much iman. Inshallah people on this page will appreciate the house of saud better.

what have they done?
They have employed most wonderful magicians, renowned as 'the magicians of Aal Sa'ud,' to entertain us as the twilight spins over our heads like a descending blanket.

Who could turn away such luminous wonders? What soul could be ungrateful but for the great and secret show put on by the magicians of Aal Sa'ud?

They have given lots of money to Somalia, Bosnia, Palestine and Iraq. They helped fight the houthis in yemen, are fighting Iran with words because they threaten sunnis in the arabian peninsula and support the bahrain government etc..

if anyone can name a better country to live in right now then please name it?

If noone is able to name a better country, please explain why its constantly saudi who is getting bashed. Especially on sunniforum. People were even defending ghaddafi yesterday, saying who are we to judge, lets look at our own faults etc etc. Yet saudi seem to be immune from this, dispite the efforts they make in ruling their country more in accordance with the shariah than any other state, doing great works in spreading islam, looking after pilgrims, building masajid and hospitals etc.

Im not saying they are perfect. But when saudi gets mentioned more than teh rest of the muslim states put together, when you have rulers like this who dont get mentioned:

http://www.eurasianet.org/department...av032310.shtml

Thats when you know something is up. Look at the condition of the central asian states:

http://www.trust.org/alertnet/news/c...-radical-islam

even hilary clinton is asking for more rights for muslims there. Saudi should be on the bottom of the pile of countries. It seems very wrong to me and personally I think people have let their hatred of "wahhabis" over take the justice that Allah SWT commands us to have.

Again, Im not saying their perfect or that they dont need to improve so dont think im saying that because everyone else is even worse that saudi is good, Im saying they are the best we have and need support as there is a lot of pressure on them to become another secular liberal democracy, as muslims we should support the countries efforts in what is good. Its strange how we remian silent when secular liberals put huge pressure on saudi to "reform" and become more "Democractic"

Dawud, a just balance must be struck- agreed.

But there is no point in mentioning leaders whose obvious kufr and shirk is agreed upon and apparent, like Nursultan Nazarbyev and his co-horts in the 'stans.

The controversial people, who have groups based entirely on defending them, will be mentioned more as is natural. I do not know anyone who defends Nursultan Nazarbyev, so why would anyone bother talking about him? It would be boring. Conversation gravitates towards that which is controversial.

Yeah... its because of lack of knowledge of things rulers implement in saudi..

I heard police drive people for namaz there..I wish we had some system like that here

Mmm, I wonder how many ulema languish in the prisons because they dared not toe the line of Aal Sa'ud...

But nevermind that, they enforce niqab! While their princes beat their gay-lover servants to death and drink themselves into stupor. The zindeeq Turki al-Hamd is given bodyguards after he says that 'Allah and the devil are two sides of the same coin,' and the slow ongoing secularization sweeps over Saudi like a raincloud- but they enforce niqab, everyone's happy then.

I will give them credit for their enforcement of niqab and enjoinment of the prayer, but it's like an apple that looks nice on the outside and the inside is worms, maggots, and thorns.

can someone correct me please. i am seriously confused. i have always been under the impression that the saudi family with the help of the british rebelled against the khilafah and where instrumental in the destruction of the khilafah.

is this true?

where is the sunnah of treating your khadims with dignity, have you seen how they treat Asians in Saudi? Again personal...

What's the point in pointing out personal crimes of any muslim/muslims?

No one can tell you for sure if they did that with the help of the british.

1) Implementation of Shariat is not a good thing in our times according to Maulana Tariq Jameel sahib and only short sighted people with no Hikmat do it, so it's not very blame worthy.

Does Maulana Tariq Jameel sahib say this really? What does he mean when he states that it is not hikmah?
