no wonder people are being so desensitised to kufr if people are making magic not a big deal. What other forms of kufr are being relegated in status? These are serious things and its shocking that you are downplaying teh seriousness of magic. Do you come from a community where it is practiced a lot or soemthing? I dont understand why you woudl defend this and blame it on salafis when Ive given you qur'an, hadeeth and sahaba and salaf

Your a typical salafi. You don't even know the difference bebetween kufr and shirk. And you also dont even know the in-depth details on the types of seeking help of jinn and which one constitutes kufr and which does not. Copy paste all you want. And Im not going to bother breaking my head to make you understand that. Great Ramadan indeed declaring Omanis as mushriks.
I do, shirk is a form of kufr. we learn this in "wahhabi books"

but magic is practiced by calling upon jinn which is shirk

Will you kindly elaborate on those two matters you mentioned.

all the way from Oman. we have a small comunity in South africa of zanzibar origen, they were once british slaves. what the people usualy say is dont mess with the zanzis because you will have problems sleeping, & they are well know for "ayn" & stuff like that.
now we can see the connection. Zanzibar was ruled by Omaan for many years & there are also many ibadis over there.

mwinyi,

you don't pose these kind of questions here, it's best if you posed it to Omanis themselves. They have a forum called English Sabla.

Warya,

I haven't said anything about Omanis just that Oman is known for si7r and stuff. Omanis generally are very nice people, I like them very much.

Stop taking religion from salafis and learn it from real scholars. This foolish topic wouldnt exist then.
who are these real scholars that you talk about?

name one who is prolific on the internet so i can see what he says regarding magic.

Game theory bro, are you saying the Ibadi's believe similar to the Ashari's or is it totally different? Because this claim is similar to what the lay-salafi may claim about the schools of kalaam (ashari's/maturidi's)

Couple of things

Last time I checked Brits never took slaves from Zanzibar but rather Arabs took slaves from East Africa and Zanzibar was the Slave capital and Omani sultan moved his capital from Muscat to Zanzibar. So historically there has been an intermarriage between Omanis and Africans in the East African coast and Zanzibar in particular.

Brits went there to stop slavery and the shortest recorded war in the world was fought there between the Sultan and the Brits in which the sultan surrendered.

The aim of sunniforum is to promote discussion of ideas, that is ideas at all levels. I dont think mwinyi made a mistake by posting a this kind of question/thread here in Sunni forum.

We are all here learning something new everday

Asalaam alaikum

Dont know about Ashari's but Omanis who are majority Ibadi's believe:

1. They do not believe Qu'ran as the words of Allah (SW)
2. They believe in the day of Judgement Muslims who will be punished will stay in Jahanam forever
3. Do not believe in the divinity/infallibility of the imams.
4. Do not revile the companions.
5. Disagree with the khilafah of the three of the four Rashideen khulafaa
6. Have their own source of hadeeth
7. They dont agree with Uthman RA and Ali AS.
