Default Khatm Quran in 1 Day?
Anyone has done or will take courage to do 1 khatm of Holy Quran in 24 hours this Ramadhan?

Hafez Jassat who is a Hifdh teacher at the Dar al-'Ulum Azaadville completed the whole Qur'an on the first night in tarawih. The tarawih began at approx 7:30 PM local time and finished with witr at about 5:27 AM, a few minutes before the cut-off time of sehri. Hafez Saheb does it yearly sometimes finishing in 2 or 3 nights.

Bhai,

That is them masha'Allah, question is who here is doing the same?

Related: http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...iyya-Kandhlawi

I am no hafiz but I going to attempt it. 1 juz = 35-40 minutes x 30 juz = 1,050 - 1200 minutes = 17.5 - 20 hours.

My strategy is to try a 24 hour period, from maghrib to maghrib or fajr to fajr. Also having a translation alongside makes time fly and keeps ones mind focused.

MashaALLAH ! Amazing!
I wanted to try this, this Ramadhan, but haven't got around to doing this, I have a few friends who have done this from madrassah, but they all are hafizahs, I wonder if this is possible for a non-hafiz, may ALLAH ;taala: give us the tawfeeq, aameen.

i've also read a hadith in which khatam of quran less then 3 days is prohibitted in muntakhab ahadeeth and in faida it is written that it is for common people like us, but for those who have ability it is not prohibitted like some suhabah did complete the whole quran in a single day...!
since i am among the common people so i dont even try to finish the quran in a single day...!

May Allah give us taufeeq to do ahsan amal...as Allah wants ahsan(best) amal not aksar(many) amal...As i have heard from my elders, do every amal with the sifat of ikhlaas and ahtisaab no matter whether the amal is big or small

and May Allah enable you to complete many more recitations of the Quran and may it become a protector for you on the Last Day.

I chanced upon this thread via the blog during a lazy moment just before Fajr on the final fast and it inspired me to use the rest of the day to complete my own khatam before magrib. May Allah enable us all to increase our ibadah and use our time wisely.

This is kind of unrelated but my son also finished his khatam on the final fast in Masjid Nabwi during itekaf. Please pray for him and for the rest of my children too that Allah grant all of them a deep connection with the Quran.

This and the other thread in which Maulana Taliban wrote about making 60 khatams in ramadhan inspired me to complete one khatam this year, I am a slow and lazy reader and didnt have much time except for weekends, but I was ashamed to not even finish one khatam due to these threads and the zeal of the people around me so I managed to complete one khatam, strengthening my relationship with the Quran in the process Alhamdulillah. to all for the inspiration and Eid Mubarak.

Well the end is what counts and because the end came as result of inspiration alhamdulillah masha'allah allahu akbar the thread has earned the sawaab! That's 2 plus the other brother finishing 1 amazing khatam in Ramadhan. Who says SF is useless, we got 3 khatams of Quran right here.

Bhai,

Yours is an amazing khatam.

Hadith mein aata hai those who recite Quran fluently are like the noble scribes who write wahi, and those who have difficulty reciting Quran yet don't stop and continue to recite get double that reward. So congratulations to you truly you have the real Eid celebration!

Congrats for achieving it by reading only in week-ends, I know how hard it can be...Allah knows best our conditions and may give more weight to 1 khatm done correctly for His Sake than 30 done for fame and speed...Now insha'Allah somebody will read your story and have the zeal in futur to read it once for once.

, JazakAllah Hazrat, however I do not have to pause that much so that my recitation gets really slow, but my tilawat is dawah to the neighbour across the street so the throat gets hoarse quickly, and there was a lot of stuff happening in Ramadhan that made me busy so I had to rush it in the end, May Allah accept all from me and you, Ameen
