I think there must be some sites or applications for it.

Yeah, there are a lot of applications that you can download on your phone but they all are so expensive. Better to find another option. I use a great site that provides me a full report of the person who called me. There is also a list of US area codes that includes many states like North Dakota, Nevada, Virginia and etc. so you can look up there and find the area code you need to identify who called you. This site https://www.livesupportrhino.com/7xx-area-code provides you the information about the street, the name, and the location of the owner's phone number.

You can search in Google for the information. There are many services that offer Area Codes by State where you can find there for the information you need. Indeed, it is a very convenient and useful service that helps to find the caller's number in some minutes. When we were on a trip, I bought a new card for calling home, but there were some problems with the connection and I couldn't link with my family. In a couple of minutes, I spent all the balance for a long-distance call. So my brother found me with the help of such a service and called me back.
