This is a sad state of reality coming our way. Has anyone noticed the new ad for Omega 3 by a Big Pharma company? Now, they want you to get a prescription and pay prescription drug prices for fish oil. The fish oil is more concentrated, but this is something that can be achieved at a much less cost by taking a few extra capsules of a good brand that can be obtained almost anywhere that supplements are sold. Watch for this to happen with all kinds of supplements we currently use on a regular basis. Vitamin C and D come to mind. We truly are losing our freedoms. As I have always said, it's all about the money. Big money, Big Pharma money. |

Frank's doctor prescribed "Loreza" (omega 3) for him. After we got it, I looked it up and it is DHA and EPA in a soy bean oil base. Not real fish oil. But then I guess it has to be man-made or you couldn't patent it and sell it for a high price - $150.00 for a one month supply. I will use our regular fish oil; cost $30.00 per month.

Even better - you can buy three bottles of Maximum strength Omega 3-6-9 each containing 120 capsules for $32.99 for all three bottles. I buy this brand for my husband and myself.

Because doctors make money (or some) by giving you a script! I think it should be against the law to take gifts from big pharm! I have a friend whose brother is a drug rep and last year they could not give pens and such to doctors office but was still allowed to lavish doctors with personal gifts!
