Only that there was something that made you eat to get to the weight you are, and you are now learning to eat to take care of your body. I used to eat when I was lonely and did not feel like I was important. My husband traveled a lot and I did not feel like I was doing anything worthwile. Now I know I was, I raised our kids! As well as kept the house together, but then, I was really depressed. Now, I have a new me, I feel wonderful and have new clothes, and when people look at me I smile back, I do not hang my head. I had to learn how to throw things away, no bad food in the house and if I was not hungry I did stopped eating. I have to walk past the bread and other goodies at the breakfast offerings here at the hotel. I walk past the fruit. I know know how good a pat of butter and a TBS of coconut oil is for me. However, it took me a long time to relaize my worth as well and now I am proud of me too. I have worked through so many issues and learned to do things which are good for ME! Everyone who gains weight has issues which run deep and we have to sort through those and in doing so we learn a lot about ourselves. So many of you here are so much younger than I am and this is like a second chance to eat the right way and live long and healthy and very happy lives, feeling good both on the inside and the outside. We are all good people and it helps to share with each other and learn from each other. I lose slowly but am grateful for every ounce I lose. I look in the mirror and the person smiling back at me, I love her! My husband loves me, my sons love me and life is good.....especially when my grandchildren visit and give me "Gamma hugs" and want to cuddle and read a book or tuck them in for a nap.
