I have gone, really enjoyed it. But the hours were from 7-7 and since hubby doesn't come home until 6:30 and he leaves at7am, I couldn't go anymore, so I quit. I loved it though. People are friendly and as you mentioned, no intimidation. And a personal trainer who knows your name and is really personable.

I've heard good things about it, but have never gone myself. Good luck to you!

The one by me just changed their hours to 8 - 8 which is why I joined up. They used to be only open from like 8 - 6, which, like most people, was when I was at work. I think someone finally saw the light... Of course, I'd really like it if they opened earlier so I could get it out the way before work, but for now I'm happy.

Default Anyone go to Curves?
I joined Curves for women last week and love it! First of all, there's no intimidating cute muscle guys in there looking at me like I'm a dork trying to figure out the machines. Second, I love how fast it goes and the constant changes, I used to get so bored climbing stairs to nowhere! I was actually upset that I couldn't go today because being a dummy I didn't put lotion on at the beach yesterday and I'm so sunburned even sitting on the couch hurts. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Does/Has anyone ever gone to curves? I'm curious about other peoples experiences and didn't feel like going through endless pages in this forum trying to find an old thread, if one even existed.

We haven't really talked about it much here but at another forum I belong to quite a few people do it and like it very much. I like the concept. The problem is that the hours are just too darn inconvenient for me as a working lady with longer hours at work. I have heard people report great success in just weeks, especially in the measurement department. If nothing else it is good to have someone else do the measuring as it is more accurate that way. I don't know that I ever hit the same place twice when I try and measure myself!

Let us know how you are doing with it.
