Well I have found out that I am not quite ready to more than double my weekly running.....I hate feeling wore out, and that's what running those extra 2 miles everyday was doing.....not ready for it yet. My plan is to go back to running every other day (6 miles a week), but include sundays..this will bring me up to 8miles a week- I think it will have a lot less effect on my energy....
You were right PattyC..have to take it a bit slower..Losing all this wieght has made me feel like Superman..Turns out I am just Jimmy Olsen |

I average 40-60 total carbs per day, 20-30 net (subtracting fiber and whatever). It did take me a while to get enough energy for running. Your body really goes thru a change. I only noticed the lack of energy in my running.
Also, if you're adding more days of running, you may want to cut down on your distance so you don't increase by too much. If you were running 2 miles 3x a week, you may want to try 1.5 miles 5x. |

ok I just started running everyday now(2 miles)..I was going every other day and breaking on the week-ends...I'm now on my fourth day(of runnign everyday) and my energy level took a dive..I haven't taken a nap in weeks, but I had to take one today....this is my fith week..I'm including small portions of nuts in my daily carbs...and I added 1 4net carb wrap to my lunch menu(if it starts to effect my wieght loss I am going to ditch it)..anyway I'd say I am eating about 20-25 carbs daily....I was thinking about upping my carb intake to 30 but I wanted to get some opinions..Plus what kind of foodstuff do you think would increase my energy level if I did include more carbs?
thanks |
