Default Bras
I am a total ignoramus about aerobic exercise . In a week or two when I get an OK from my doctor I am starting with the "silver" aerobics group. I'm in my forties but I know I couldn't keep up with the 20 somethings in the step exercises I'm such a klutz. My problem is even with the light jogging I do not feel comfortable in a normal bra. I am big on top even after weight loss. I bought a sport bra but it is very uncomfortable I do not like the smushed feeling. There are no big department stores within 30 miles I got my bra at WALMART.

Could anyone suggest brands or types of bras to try (or a WEB site that u found reliable, there are so many). They are expensive and can't be returned after you go exercising so I do not want to make another mistake.

Perhaps you could get some eager volunteer to hold them for you while you exercise.

Firelady..both before AND after breast reduction surgery I swore by Triumph brand name bras.

Wonder Bra not so good..but Wonder Bra Plus made for large bosoms are excellent. Im wearing one now!
I knwo your pain. I used to have to pay about $100 a bra for the support I needed.

Try the above names...and note...I've NEVER found a bra at WalMart that does the job. I'm in Canada and i can get many of the above names at The Bay department store.

Also..before breast reduction..I used to wear my regular bra..and then my sports bra ON TOP. TONS of support that way. Did that for years!!
Now just the sports bra is ok...but i like the support of my regular bras.

Hope any of this helps.

hehe to FA.

Finding a strong enough good looking male is the prob!

Seriously. Have had the same problem from a young age. When I was in the Vol Army they threatened to help me 'bandage them up' the army way I used a 'granny bra' with really heavy elastic a little tighter than I'd have liked for normal wear.

Now, I wear a normal one under a tight exercise top (you know cropped with heavy elastic underneath).

Don't be frightened to put on more than one layer that is tight etc as that will help in the meantime. The comfort you'd normally look for is something I sacrefice for aerobics, I don't notice once I start sweating!

Thanks all.
Zoe I'll look on the WEB for who carries the Triumph brand. It would be worth a drive to find one, I'd like to try it on before buying. Maybe take a day off and go to NYC make a treat of it.

I like Champion's "High Impact" bra from Walmart. Sometimes, I'd wear a fitted tank on top for extra support. I've found them very comfortable.
