Default Working out
Hi all. I use to go to the gym 5 days a week, cardio every day weights 3 days... But I got in a car accident that prevented me from working out for 6 weeks and then I just didn't go back, that was 6 months ago....
i started last Thursday and I have done it EVERYDAY since....
I do 30 mins of intense cardio one to two times a day! Like I have said I am a stay at home mom that keeps 4 extra kids so I do a lot of playing but I also have a lot of time on my hands. I get up at 5:30 to go to the gym so I can be home by 6:30 to take a shower and get ready before getting my sson up for school I feel sooo good when I do this. It is so incredibly hard to get up that early but once I am up I am up and I feel GREAT. THenI do cardio again 3 days a week in the pm! The reason is just that I want to do it and it makes me feel good, plus my trainer said it will help with the weight loss. Wish me luck that I will stick to it! I tend to get obsessive about working out. I ache a little today but its well worth it! I have soo much more energy.

Exercise must become an integral part of our lifestyles from now on. One we commit to losing weight, exercise is a necessity. You are doing the right thing. After a while, it feels so good to exercise that it becomes another pleasure of life that we anticipate with great desire. I do not like to miss a single day of my workouts. Keep up the good example for one and all!

Good Luck!

OK first week down. I did cardio 10 times, I did it twice three times and everyday this last week!!! Last night I walked at 4.3 speed (mostly, increased for intervals) on a 7.5 % incline for 5 1/2 miles!!!! I felt soo good. I am walking FASTER and faster and trying to incorporate some jogging at intervals.
Istarted out using the bike but my knees get cramped up, I do have long legs. And then I tried the elliptical but I need to get in shape first, that thing kicks my butt. ITs like running with your knees in the air. I have increased my tolerance for that from 1 min to 11, so I should be able to do that soon! SO far the treadmill works best for me and I just love it. And I added weights this week (only three times)....I am feeling good about this!

Great job! If you're interested in a walk/run program, there's a great beginner program at coolrunning.com. The link is:
