At 2000 a day for a typical person, you will maintain your weight, not lose weight.
First you need to know your basal metabolic rate which will tell YOU how many calories you need a day. Then you either increase that amount or reduce that amount if you want to gain or lose weight. 3500 calories = 1 pound approximately. So if your BMR is 2000, then you would need to eat 1500 calories a day for one week to drop one pound. -500 calories a day time 7 days = -3500 calories = -1 pound. Or you increase your activity to burn an extra 500 calories a day (which is very difficult to do) |

I would make breakfast your highest calorie intake of the day, and most filling. It will help stop hunger and snacking later on in the day. My mum is losing weight, and she eats pies for breakfast and lunch when she works (every day). You just gotta watch as you get older. They say in your forties you lose muscle mass every year so it's harder to burn fat...so the extra biscuits with a cup of tea in the morning, for example, could start to show lol.
