kids toothpaste doesnt have floride in them Because there is some danger if your child gets too much fluoride, your choice of toothpaste is important. Keep in mind that most brands of kids' toothpaste are fluoridated. They just have different flavors and popular characters on them to make them more fun for children, but that doesn't make it safe for your children to swallow too much of the toothpaste. http://pediatrics.about.com/cs/pedia...tal_health.htm |

OOOH one of my favourite topics after vaccination.
![]() NO flouride toothpaste here I havent used one with flouride for over 15 years...and I have a water filter that takes it out of my tap water too. Its a poison. We DONT need it. Our tap water has only been flouridated for a few years. EVERY year the council held a referendum on it, and everyone voted NO Until last year when they DIDNT do one, just flouridated the water anyway ![]() ![]() oh...and my teeth are fine. |

Note: Fluoride is safe in the amounts provided in water supplies but can be toxic in large amounts. Toxic levels depend on your child's weight. A lethal dose of fluoride for a 3-year-old child is 500 mg and is even less for a younger child or infant. Keep all products containing fluoride, such as toothpastes and mouthwashes, away from children. If you think your child may have swallowed too much fluoride, call your local poison control center or the National Poison Control Hotline right away at 1-800-222-1222. I trust WebMd when it comes to medical/health issues. That's where the above came from for those wanting to know about fluoride and children.
