45 minute walk tonight, 2.6 miles. Feeling pretty good, now to just keep it up.

good luck. You need to enter our weight challenge. We are all trying to lose weight. I think we have two more weeks and another one will start.

good luck - IMHO forget the wii, nothing beats fresh air and exercise - i dont deny that you can get a good sweat going with the wii fit kind of stuff, the thing is making the commitment to get dressed, lace up your sneakers and get out that door is a discipline builder, and to maintain a healthy weight requires (for most of us) a lifestyle change that HAS to be permanent, and that takes discipline

you can do this

Except for the part where in the middle of summer here it's about 100F, so indoors > outdoors. The EA Sports Active "game" is a fairly intense workout, so it works well in tandem with other things.

I had made a lifestyle change for the most part the last time around, but then I moved, took up a desk job where I actually had to work in an office, got sedentary, stopped working out, and ended up gaining close to 50lbs in a year and a half.

took it a bit easier tonight.... partially by choice, and partially because I was told in no uncertain terms not to overdo it. Went 1.5 miles in 30 minutes.

4 miles in an hour tonight... and then I got a blister. So time to take a day or so off, lol. I'll do something indoors tomorrow.

Default so... it's time to lose the excess weight again
I'm 5'8", and weigh about 208 right now... I've struggled with weight issues for most of my adult life, weighing 245lbs at my max about 3.5 years ago, and 160 at my lowest, about a year and a half ago. My main issue is that I tend to just eat to eat, and rather than eating healthy things like fruits or vegetables, I tend to eat chips or other wonderfully delicious yet not so very healthy foods. So I've signed up at Livestrong.com, mainly so I can track my calories with it. I've found that if I have to track what I'm eating, I tend to stay away from the unhealthy stuff for the most part.

I also need to go out and exercise... I have EA Sports Active for my Wii, and I've done it a few times, so I'm planning on using that at least 3-4 times a week, and then going out and walking the other days.

I'm just sick at tired of being fat... I was relatively happy with myself when I was down around 160lbs, and I can't stand myself being so fat right now. I've mainly posted this so I can remember that I've posted somewhere that I'm working to lose weight, so it'll help motivate me some.

i'm going for losing 1.5lbs a week, working for about 1900 calories a day, and then exercising. So we'll see how I do.
