OK, I cheated today with of all things peanut butter. Today would have been my 7th day on it and last night I went to bed starving. I called the clinic where I bought the hcg and read her my food journal and she said I am not spacing my meals out enough. I wanted to know you guys input.
For breakfast at 8:30 am I have six strawberries and two cups of black coffee. At 10:20 I have a piece of melba toast ( due to slight hunger) at 12:40 noon I have 3 oz of shrimp and salad with braggs. At 3pm I have an apple and at 4:30pm I have melba toast. At 5:20pm I have 3 oz of steak with cup of greens. The lady at the clinic said to start off at breakfast with 3 strawberries, water and coffee. Then dont have anything until lunch, then have my lunch and a few hours after that have the other three strawberries. She said to cut the apple up into three servings and have pieces a couple of hours apart. She said to try to space my meals out way more and to drink lots of fluids which I am doing and she also suggested crsytal light, which I like but I thought I was not supposed to drink. What do you guys think of her suggestion? I feel discouraged right now. I was hoping I would be one of the people that the hcg just worked on right off the bat. |

I think that your dose is off. Also, Crystal Light is NOT your friend.
Getting your dose straightened out, (I saw where you've been advised on another thread on how to do that), dropping the melba toast, & replacing 1 fruit serving a day with more protein, will be helpful to you. I have had my dosage off before, & it was living Hell. I got my dosage right, & was never hungry ~ I had to remind myself to eat. I never gave "spacing out my portions" a thought. I was skeptical when Grammy advised me to skip a day, (I thought I would starve), & lower my dose. That didn't make any sense to me, but you know, it worked! As a person who has struggled with my weight, "less is more" ~ doesn't register. I always want more of everything that is good. HCG is good, but more of it than you need is BAD-BAD! |

okay, well I tried this morning to skip a dose but by around 10am i got very hungry and decided to up my dose instead. I guess tomorrow I need to buckle down and skip a dose and then the next day see how it goes. They said to fill to the 20 mark and this would be 150 units of HCG. But now I am wondering if this is correct info. The reason is I have called them (only twice) which they said to do if I had any problems with hunger but when I called the seemed impatient and have insisted I not try to change my dosage. Which if your hungry thats what most websites say you should try. They just tell me to drink diet coke and crystal light and lots of fluid and the hunger will go away. Sorry for so many emails on this subject. I do know it was the real thing because I felt about a 50 percent decrease in hunger. It started at a higher decrease but went down each day. |

Crystal Light & Diet Coke are not allowed on protocol, & have chemicals in them that stimulate sugar cravings. If Diet Cokes made us feel full & cause weight loss, I would be a twig by now!!!
To get to 150 units, I fill my U-100 insulin syringes to the '30 mark. But, your HCG may not be mixed at the same strength that mine is, so I don't know what the significance of that is. Grammy always says that if skipping a dose doesn't help, then your dose is too low. But, unless you know how your HCG is mixed, I don't know how you sort it out. This is the very reason I was never comfortable with these "HCG Spas". They should have some compassion for your misery, & try to help you. See what Grammy & ILuvKats recommend. Hang in there! I think you are close! |
