Default HCG Diet to gain weight?
Hi, does anyone know if the diet can be used to gain weight and to reset the hypothalamus at a higher weight set point?

I highly doubt it can be used to gain weight. You never want to just gain weight, more of muscle mass.

I had asked that same question a while back. My mom needs to put on weight. (she's 77) You would think there's a method of doing it, but not too many people have an underweight issue, so probably not much research on it.

ILuvKats LOL I thought it was surely asked a few times.

wwhispers yes I know that idealy you want to build muscle that be the cause of the weight gain but there are loads of people out there who really do find it hard to gain weight of any kind. There must still be something in the set point/weight of the hypothalamus that makes their body come back to a lower weight.

PSer, logically I think there must be a way too. I am inclined to think that if someone ate a really high calorie diet while in phase 2 (with healthy phase 2 & 3 foods) that the person taking the hcg would gain weight (like in pregnancy). Then when they get to phase 3 and stop taking the drops they would continue to eat loads of good food calories to lock in that new weight with they hypothalamus. I wish someone had experience with this topic to share.

I bet it can be done. But I don't see my mom doing it to gain weight. . . at least not at her age.
