Default Most weight lost in first week?
I lost 12.7 lbs. during the first 3 days of the VLCD. Is this normal? It seems really high to me, though I'm not complaining. I had gained 6 during loading days. I am short (5'1") and started off weighing 255 and some change before loading days and got up to 261 and some change during loading and today I weighed 248.8. I was just wondering if others had lost this quickly who had a lot to lose. I'm doing a 42-day round. I would love to lose 50 lbs. during these 42 days, though I've read you shouldn't lose more than 40....something to that effect. Has anyone lost more than 40 during a 42-day protocol?

The first week always has the greatest loses especially if you have weight to lose. 12 pounds is awesome so congrats. In pounds and inches you are not to lose more then 34 pounds in a round

I had read about the 34 lbs. but had also read that if you have more than X. amount of pounds to lose that it's okay to lose 40 or so. I wonder if the 34 lbs. (or 40) includes the weight that is gained during loading days or if it's really meant to apply to the pounds lost AFTER losing the loading pounds.

I don't know how that works but I didn't count my loading weight from either round. I'm going for 34 this round and I'm not including the four pounds I gained loading

According to Dr. Simeon's, it would be based upon your loading weight.

The average loss of weight is calculated on the number of effective doses and from the weight reached on the day of the third dose, which may be well above what it was two days earlier when the first dose was given. Hope that helps.
