Default I can't find answers to my questions. Can you help??
Hi there! I'm wondering about the protein shakes as replacements for meat protein. Which of the protein shakes have you found to be the most effective with the HCG drops? And I'm wondering how many scoops of that protein to use?? ...Of course I want it to taste good, but above all I want to lose weight!!!! I just can't keep eating all the animal meat for my protein. I do have a lot of vegetarian food at my house like MorningStar Farms and Worthington brand also, so my other question is sorta about that... I'm wondering how many carbs and fats and proteins we should be/are allowed to consume in one day! Just knowing those amounts will help me in knowing which "substitutes" I can make without being too far off protocol. Thanks in Advance for reading this/responding if you can!!! xoxo, Sarah

Okay - so protein shakes are not on protocol. Have you read Pounds and Inches, our HCG manual? http://www.hcgbodyshaper.com/simeon.pdf

Also, there are vegetarian threads that may be helpful for you, like this one (type in vegetarian in search box): I'm a Vegetarian

Those who choose to use off protocol protein shakes try to choose ones that mimic the calories, fat, protein and carbs in a 3.5 oz or 100 gram serving of boneless skinless chicken breast. Jay Robb and Sun Warrior are two brands that people have had success with. You might try the vegetarian board for more information about specific types and flavors, and other brands.

I haven't tried them but I have read a lot on the forum about the Jay Robb protein shakes, members say they are really great and purchase them off of Amazon.

They taste like a protein shake though. LOL I just used the ViSalus shakes and had no problems with them- plus it's like a total cheat because they taste like heaven! (cake mix)!! LOL

I just looked up the ViSalus shakes nutritional values and it looks good but OMG they taste like cake mix, see that would be a problem for me LoL Do you use these on P2 or P3? Do you mix with water or milk?

i've looked up the ViSalus shake info cuz I have a friend who sells them, but isn't it "off protocol" that they have 7 carbs to each shake? I mean it's awesome they're only 90 calories and 12 grams of protein and 1 sugar (which i also know isn't on protocol) but the carbs worry me. should i be worried about the carbs, or no? just curious. i'm totally new to this. thanks!!!

Hey guys FYI if you are looking for Jay Robb shakes in Canada I have found this place where I get mine from:

http://www.lowcarbcanada.ca/search?s...ll_4920=Search

I use the whey one because the egg white one has xylitol in it which I have found out makes me gain. I have the tropical creamsicle - it's really good
