Default I give up!i cant do 500 cals/day! Im replacing fruits/melba with protein shake read
what about eating the fruit first before the main meal of protein and vegetable. That should prevent the insulin spike?

Sophia, first off...no one who is of the female gender loses 2 lbs a day over the course of a round, so don't set yourself up mentally to feel like a failure, ok? Avg per day losses for women on hcg are .5 lb to .75 lb over the length of the round. Next, I agree with you about the insulin spike from the fruit, and I think it makes me hungry as well....therefore, I eat very little fruit on phase 2, and add more protein in which seems to satisfy me longer, or more green veggies which fill me up more and don't cause the insulin spike, and frankly have more nutrients than alot of fruits now a days. If you are going to eat a fruit, try it right before you work out....many do that to get the carb boost from it. Your plan sounds fine to me. Hang in there, and remember, the closer to goal you are, the slower you lose and the harder it is to keep the last 7 to 10 lbs off.

@Southern. Thanks for the encouragement...! Any tips to stay motivated? I am full time but what has been causing my failure is emotional eating and the killer hunger at night I have been going through alot of personal problems it's been really hard but I know if I can make this work my joy and happiness will overcome the sadness from life problems I have no control over!!! I am feeling so positive today
if you have time, read the book weightloss apocalypse. its about emotional eating on the hcg diet and learning to eat only when youre hungry
keep yourself busy and join one of the support threads here

I think your dose is off, Sophia. YOu wouldn't be hungry if it's right, especially when you're saying you have done 800 calories a day with no problem yet are struggling here. You will be just as hungry on the shakes as you are on the food if your dose is off.

First skip your next shot, honey. That will tell us a lot. If you feel really great tomorrow night, then we know for sure. And I suspect you will.

Oh I'm so glad! Take 20 units tomorrow, then go to 25 the next day. I'm assuming 30 units was 150 iu?

Oh I assumed it was 150 as is the usual mix. Then even 25 is going to be too high, most likely. How on earth was it mixed, do you know? That's a very odd mix. I'd take it down to about 18 units.

Sophia, the hormones associated with Tom might have had something to do with this as well. Next month, if you are still on p2, and your dose has worked on non Tom days, I would try adding hoodia, a mild appetite suppressant that is herbal. I don't suggest it for any situation other than the Tom munchies....which can be dose related, but sometimes aren't. Just another tool for your arsenal, ok?

You should not be working out so hard!!! I know that when I over do it with mowing my acre with the push mower I stall for a few days. Your body compensates for burning too many calories + the low cal intake and throws your body into starvation mode. This is just my opinion, but if you cannot give up the hard core work outs, give up the hCG diet!

guys! grammy is a genius... grammy because of my period i have skipped my shot yesterday and today and you are right;the hungry monster is either gone or hiding. But I do feel great today after substituting the fruit/melba with shakes. I am at 600 calories and feel great I even jogged for 45mins! last week on 500 cals i looked and felt so worn out and tired
enough with the experimenting now that I found a food plan that works for me I am starting the injections tomorrow how much should I take? @Grammy1952
Yes, she is, I also was having hunger issues, she helped me. Just wanted to pop my head and say WOO HOO glad you are feeling better. Happy losses! Laura
