No sugar or starches (that includes oatmeal) in phase 3. Phase 4 is when you slowly add in sugar and starches

Yes, I used to do that every morning - oatmeal - the maple brown sugar one. But yes, that may be one of those carbs I reintroduce first in P4.

There is no 15 day round, honey. The minimum time is 23 days on hcg. Otherwise you are not resting your hypothalamus and it will be VERY easy to regain the weight.

I would try mill's organic buckwheat for oatmeal - it's a fruit not a grain and is wheat free. I'm just wondering if I can have it on P3. Contains 5g protein per serving as well! It's rich in lysine and magnesium too. when I was eating raw I'd buy it from the bin, and soak it in water overnight then drain and throw in blender and add 1/2 banana, almon milk, cinnamon, sea salt and it's delicious...I get fuller though when I microwave the mill's kind - it expands since its being heated etc.

Hi Grammy!

Ive found you so informative!! I suggested buckwheat groat as healthier alternative for oatmeal but wanted to know if you think it's ok for P3 since its a fruit not a grain and wheat free. So no strach or sugar. (30g carbs tho per serving).
I like Mill's organic creamy buckwheat hot cereal.

Thank u!!

No it's not okay. We're told to watch "very sweet" fruit ilke bananas and buckwheat is WAY higher in carbs than even bananas. I wouldn't touch it until P4 and even then with caution. Sorry!

Thanks, good to know. Is a cup of vegetable broth dilluted in lots of water ok to stave off hunger in p2? There's sodium and of course not on protocol but wanted to know your thoughts :-)

You shouldn't be hungry at all. Make sure your taking the real hcg and ask grammy about changing your dose. Good luck. I cook with chicken broth, no sugar added, no msg, 100%fat free, low sodium.

Most of the broths have stuff you shouldn't have in them. And if you have hunger, there is something wrong with your dose.

no idea if this is better for hcg, but when I did south beach diet I opted for steel cut oats because they were less processed, higher in fiber, and they had a lower glycemic index. something worth looking into for P4 on hcg. when on south beach, I added truvia or splenda, a bit of skim milk, cinnamon, a few sliced almonds and a half a cup of blueberries or raspberries.
