Default Okay, TMI, but I want to hear your theories on poop...
Last round I didn't suffer from constipation much. Actually, not at all. I'd go a few days without going, but when I did go, my bm's were loose. My friend, who also did her last round with me and now this new round, told me it was because of the fat we were losing and that it leaves the body in our waste, making our stools looser because there's more fat in our waste than the remains of our meals.

So, now I'm in R2 and same thing, loose stools and I'm just wondering if she is right or not. I see so many people complain of constipation. Am I, and my friend, the only ones haveing this issue? And it's really not bad. I'd rather loose stools than hard, painful constipation. Don't get me wrong, I'm just wondering what you all are experiencing and if you agree with what my friend says is happening or if maybe there's another reason...

Thoughts?

Is it possibly the sweetener you are using?

Glad you started this post! I'm curious myself. I have the same problem as peekaboo.

On my 2nd round...and I have had no constipation issues...just the opposite actually. I assumed it was because of all the extra fiber I have added. I don't use any sweeteners.

I've only used a sweetener once this round, so I don't think that's it. I never had a "hard" stool last round. Some were firmer than others, but mostly, they were loose. So far this round, I haven't gone a day without going (it's still early) and they've all been loose. It very well could be the extra fiber, but I haven't added in more fiber than I did during P3 and P4 right before I started this round, so not sure.

I'm just not sure if my friend is right or not. Thought I'd ask on here if anyone else had theories. Maybe it's all the water, but then again, I've been drinking this much water since the beginning of last round and I didn't have this loose stool issue during P2 or P3, so I don't think that's it either, unless it's the amount of water combined with the amount of (less) food...

I'll have to ask her where she got her information. Her sister also does the HCG diet, so maybe she got it from her...if so, where did her sister get the info? I'll have to find out.

I also tend more toward loose and frequent bowel movements on hCG than toward constipation. I can tell you beyond any shadow of a doubt though, that you do not lose fat by pooping it out!

Fat is burned through a complex chemical process that takes place within the cells. Google "fatty acid metabolism" if you're interested in the specifics.

my apple days cleaned me out like crazy. I've always had a problem with constipation since I was a child and I have been so regular on this diet it's scary. I just eat alot of apples. I am concerned about P3 though because cheese is going to immediately pack it in!

In P2 I had no problem with bowel movements but in P3 I have had harder stools and I don't go every day like I did in P2. It could be the amount of cheese that I eat. You still have to keep up on the veggies to help you go because you cut down on the fruit a little.

Before I started HCG, I was pretty regular: daily poops, fairly sizable, and of a somewhat loosely packed texture, although not loose nor runny.

During my first round, (homeopathic pellets), I pooped pretty much every day, but my poops were small and compact. Not hard, nor loose, just like my body was squeezing every last bit of substance from my food, and leaving very little waste.

My poops remained very condensed through P3 and P4. They were bigger, due to the larger volume of food consumed, but the texture was pretty much the same as in R1 P2.

At the start of this round, which I decided to do with RX/SubQ, my dose was woefully wrong due to a mixing screw-up on my part. During that time, my poops somehow became bulkier and less compact, more similar in texture to what they had been before I was on HCG. Even during the start of P2, with the tiny portions. They returned to P2 texture as soon as my dose was correct.

I am experiencing the same thing- am on VLD#7 and have not had a normal stoll in a few days. Your friend's explanation sounds right to me. When I took "Alli" (which blocks the absorption of fat) I had similar looking stools. Oh and I can't "fix' my ticker but I am down 8 pounds!!
Cheers,
Leslie
