I have a friend and she is taking the HCG shots like me... but she is eating normal foods for dinners. She takes the shot in the morning and doesn't eat all day until about 7 then she has a normal dinner. What does this do? I couldn't find anything online. is it possible to loose anything doing this or is it just a slower loss? Or will she continue to gain? Please help

Well, I've read that having fatty/sugary/grainy foods while taking hcg can really balloon their normal effects. I'm sure it's POSSIBLE to lose while eating like that, but probably not very likely and definitely not the usual .5-1lb a day by following the vlcd. Another thing I've read is that if you are going to be eating 'bad' things, you should do that earlier in the day.. like at breakfast because your body metabolizes it better throughout the day.
Did she get her hcg from a clinic or something that has her following a certain plan? Maybe point her here for any questions? The people here know their stuff! |

if nothing else, i'd tell her to not eat any fat. i doubt she'll lose much if she's eating a "normal" dinner. and it's not good for your metabolism to only eat once a day. i've personally found that adding fat seems to turn off the action of the hcg.
i do know someone who went on the shots when she was gaining weight from being on prednisone (a steroid). she didn't follow any particular eating plan. she didn't lose weight, but she stopped gaining. |

I am seeing hcg people eating one very light meal a day. How can this be retraining eating habits for life? I notice that many doing this sort of eating on R2 often over eat during holidays, etc. and have to loose the same pounds again. How do you think this very very low calorie, my guess 250 cals, eating affects hcgers for life? I am interested in keeping my fat gone, no more yoyoing. I have done 3 rounds and lost 55 pounds. I always tried to eat in a way to retrain my eating habits for life.
Thanks.... Sharon |
