Default Help- My Friend Broke Out in a Terrible Rash!
I feel bad since I am the one that recm it to her!!! She was on week 2 of VLCD and she got a painful, itchy rash all over her body. She stopped the hhcg drops and it is going away now. But it is interesting that it didn't show up until 2 weeks after she started it!

I read a few comments on here about others with seemingly smaller rashes. I guess she was just allergic to it. She was taking the same Mediral drops as I have been taking this round, and took my entire round 1.

She is day 2 of VLCD without drops and is going to try P3 and everything even though she didn't get to 23 effective days. She is really disappointed. My mom started the same time as me this round, I hope she doesn't have a reaction too.

Any thoughts?
Thanks everyone-

That far into the diet, it's probably coincidence. She should look at what she was eating and any meds or supplements she was taking.

My thoughts are that her body is detoxing. I had a neighbor that got a hives on her face and was sure she was reacting to the hcg. It turned out that she used some face cream that was 2 1/2 years or so old and then went out in the sun with it and that is what the problem was. If the rash is all over her body, I would think more detox. Or something she is reacting to in the composition of the drops, but I don't know what they use. Just my opinion.

you're right about the detoxing though too, firedudette. That's very possible!

I broke out in a rash on my stomach and under my arms about 2 wks into vlcd's on both rounds. It was more of a nusance than anything (hurt a little) I just chalked it up to detox and stayed on the diet, finished up my round, moved onto p3 and it went away.

This is almost certainly a detox reaction. It seems to me that if it were an allergic reaction to the HCG it would have shown up sooner. The diet that is required is very low carb and very similar to a candida diet protocol. If she has any candida or parasites in her system this will be dying off and could cause this sort of reaction.

She can speed up getting rid of the rash by taking a detoxification clay. I carry one at: http://stopyeast-store.com/medi-clay.aspx

Fiber would also help to clear this up, but it must a soluble fiber like psyllium (some people have allergies to this), apple pectin. Activated charcoal would help, as well.

Hope she gets to feeling better soon.

I had a HORRIBLE rash last round that started right around the 2nd week of VLCD it was on my chest & arms. It was not pretty to look at :/ it did itch quite a bit, but I to think it was my bodys way of detoxing. I just stuck it out & it eventually went away on its own. Someone last round recommended that if I need to go ahead & use something on it, but I chose to just ride it out, I was losing way to much weight to give up & let the rash win ) I am so glad I did. I think some people are just more sensitive (yep that is me) & it shows up more easily. I am very fair skinned & I am use to my skin being sensitive to things! I hope your friend starts to feel better soon, but please let her know she is not alone there are plenty of us on here that have had similiar issues )

Detox. When it comes out your skin means your other detox organs (liver, kidney, lymph, etc) aren'nt working as great as they could be.

I saw my doctor today who does a lot of muscle testing. She said I'm definitely dumping a lot of toxins right now. I'm on R2P2VLCD5.

Thanks everyone!!! I have been talking to my friend with the rash and she did 3 days of VLCD without drops and now the rash is gone. She is thinking about trying to start again.

What do you all think?

This is what I think: if it was just her body detoxing. then it probably wouldn't happen again. If she is allergic to it, of course, it probably would happen again. Also, since hcg actually breaks down and flushes out fat cells, if there are any "poisons" or antibiotics or something else that you may have had a reaction to in the past, stored in those cells, when those cells are broken down it releases that back into your system and that can cause a reaction as well.

If she starts back up should she do load days and start another 23 day round? Or pick back up on VLCD and do just a couple more weeks?

Thanks everyone!!

Absolutely, we store most of our toxins in our fat.

She needs to get her kidneys, liver and gallbladder working better. It's too long for a post. This is why Trudeau's book calls for a Phase 1. If she followed that she would probably do better.

first she still may detox more so she still may get a rash if she's feeling ok I would just continue and restart the drops no load days and finish the round...It can take more than 3 days to detox I've had small rashes onder my breasted a few times during this protocol.....but knew it was from the detoxing.....

I had the exact same thing happen. My rash was candidia. I think it was because my body was no longer getting the sugar and carbs it was used to so the yeast had nothing to feed on and that is why it come out as a rash. It finally left but it did take a few weeks to go away.

Phew. Thanks for starting and posting this information. I've had a really veracious rash on my legs and was concerned about allergy as well. I'll have to up my detox tea consumption I guess and check my P1 tabs to see if they're safe to take during P2. But, I've lost too much to give up for this minor annoyance. Its not pretty but I can live with it until I get to P3/4.

Totally not related to hcg, but my son one time got this really weird little tiny bump rash all over his face. We ended up doing Castor oil packs, which you couldn't do on hcg, but also plain yogurt face masks, which did seem to help. I wonder if putting plain yogurt on it would effect the diet? I don't think it is really absorbed, I think it just reacts with the rash somehow.

Well, my own rash is little bumps in spots and then patches in others. I had already done the process of elimination thing because with the P2 protocol, I had to change all my soaps, moisterizers etc. But now I know the truth, so I can move forward and just detox as I go along. I'm also going to see if I can find more info on candida. I'll check back with everyone here if I find anything helpful.

I would think that if it was candida related, then a yogurt mask might be helpful?

A detox clay or fiber would help to clear rashes like the ones we are discussing here.

Hey, treeradar, my job is helping people with candida problems. We help folks with all kinds of detoxes. My website is www.stopyeast.com (there is tons of information on it) and you can call us at 1-888-242-8408 if you have any questions regarding candida.
