Default Still losing weight - on P3
I thought this was the stabilization phase. I have been on P3
for 5 days and have lost 6 more pounds.
Not sure what to do at this point.

What kind of foods have you added? What are you eating? As long as you're not starving, I'd take that loss!

I'm eating absolutely no sugar but lots of fatty foods. Bacon, eggs, roast pork, oopsie rolls w/ cheeseburgers, salads w/ homemade dressing, ham, mayonaisse - not exactly low-cal ;-)
I was very suprised by the loss, since the calorie count is pretty high.

Make sure you're getting your veggie servings in and just go with it! My first round I ended up stabilizing about 7 lbs. below LDW, too....but I lost that throughout the entire p3, not just the first week

oh you are soo lucky!! I am jealous. I would love to continue to lose in P3. I think as long as you are getting your approved fruits. veggies and proteis and fats and your caloric intake is enough to sustain you and meet your metabolic needs, I would take the weight loss and run with it!! LOL

Is there some reason why we can't lose weight during Phase 3?? I hope to continue to lose once I hit it. And honestly, it sounds almost like your doing an Atkins diet, and you will definitely lose eating that way!

well Dr. Simeons stated it is important to stay within 2 pounds above or below your LIW due to the importance of resetting your hypothalmus. And plus you want to give your body a break from all that loss. I have lost weight with atkins before...I would love to lose but I won't try to lose, I am gonna eat when hunger hits and to satiety not to fullness and if I lose good but I will be trying to stabilize

I have a question: i'll be on P3 soon and it will start off with some heavy hiking. I know it is likely to lose weight during that weekend. And I'm actually hoping on it but... I was curious as to the opinions on losing weight over wk 1.5 of p3 and stabilizing in the last half? I'm planning on eating high protein and veggie and min fruit wk. 1, add in yogurt, cream and cheese week 2, and in nuts wk. 3.

I'm hoping that the organization will help me lose weight in p3. Last time I added everything at once, barely ate veggies, and lived off of fruit. LOL

If u loose weight on p3 it is just as bad as gaining. U r trying to reset your set point as stated above. U need to stay within 2 pounds. If u hike and start to loose u need to compensate and eat more calories or carbs. U add or take away calories depending on your weight gain or loss. Just keep it within plus or minus 2 pounds.
