Default ! Started period unexpectedly 2 wks early on HCG injections - what do I do?!
I am on day 13 of the HCG injections, 200 ml. I'm not due for my period for another 2 weeks and am very regular since I'm on the Pill. I randomly started bleeding 3 days ago and thinking it was just "spotting" I didn't worry about it since many websites say spotting can occur and changes in menstrual cycle happen on this diet. I continued giving myself the shots. The bleeding is a full-blown period now, not spotting, and I'm not sure what to do - continue shots or not? Also, I'm going to be "due" for my period starting this Sunday according to my birth control cycle so then what? Should I be concerned? Should I stop injections? My weight loss has pretty much come to a complete stop (less about .2 lbs per day). PLEASE ADVISE.

Weight loss slows as the diet progresses, so that isn't a big surprise. My week 1 was stupendous, week 2 was ok, and week 3 sucked. LOL! You are also very likely retaining water while on your period. I have had a hysterectomy (retained ovaries though, so am not in menopause), and I think that week 3 was the week of my "phantom period" and that is why my losses were low.

I would just continue your shots. I wouldn't be concerned at all. I will admit that getting a period unexpectedly is a PITA, but that is part of being a girl, I guess. Just keep on with the injections and VLD. Good luck!
