Someone suggested having a thread for questions only- so that the "vets" (or others) can come to your aid if you can't find the answer you need.

Then go to the "search" bar at the top of the page and enter "newcomer". 95% of your questions should be answered within those 2 references. This is information you should have before you get started on this protocol- otherwise you may become overwhelmed. If you have a question about a particular subject, try doing a search for it and reading prior posts- most likely someone else has had the same question along the way.

If you still have a miscellaneous question, post it here and someone will try to answer it. If i see the same question popping up, i'll include the answer somewhere in the "newcomer" series.

This may be a stupid question but what do I do with my needle (sharps?) container.
Where can I take it.
I don't just throw it in the garbage do I?
The Dr. gave it to me but didn't tell me what I should do with it when it's full.
Since I have no intention of going back to him I won't call him to ask.
He has very much annoyed me.Was suppose to have mailed my hcg to me on a thurs.
but didn't till Mon.

Question on timing...I have about 100 to lose total. I am round 1. Since I have so much to lose do I have to do the 40 day cycle or should I? Right now I started for 40 but life has gotten in the way..looks like now I need to do a 26 day cycle...am I going to hate myself...should I just figure out how to do the 40...will I be able to stabilize in P3 if I shorten myself?

mountaingirl - look online and search google for "sharps container disposal" -- there are many options. one of my local hospitals takes containers and disposes of them for you for a $5 fee. You can also mail them to various places for disposal.

newsingle- you can do any length rounds between 23 and 40 days, and can vary the length each time according to what fits best into your schedule. i find the shorter rounds are easier on my body and my loss/day is higher- plus they're mentally easier to do, and i think you're less likely to have immunity problems. i started at 240 and i've lost 82# in 8 mo- you can, too!

stabilization is no problem as long as you go for at least 23 days- Dr. S. says this is the minimum amount of time to re-set the hypothalamus.

Mountaingirl, most states allow the home sharps user to dispose of their sharps in the regualar trash as long as they place them in a rigid container, such as a 2 liter pop bottle, or I use a large vitaimin bottle, then secure it with duct tape. Some places suggest you put some bleach in the bottom of the container and write medical waste on the container. Barb

My hcg supply is over, I ordered from best discounted pharmacy and my package is in the NY customs. Hopefully I should receive it in a day or two. Everything got delayed due to long weekends in India. I am on R1VLCD day 17. Should I continue VLCD until I receive my HCG. I am doing sublingual. Thank you.

Depends on when your last dose was. You are good for 3 days after your last dose...stay on VLCD. If you expect the pkg in a couple of days, I would stay on the VLCD for now. If it doesn't show up in a couple of days, reevaluate the plan. I hope it arrives for you

Thanks for addressing the needle problem I almost just dumped tehm in trash without a container but my husband, who is sooo smart, told me I couldn't do that so I put them in an old hot cocoa canister. Now what? duct tape and put in trash?

Your majesty or any of thy servants: I posted a question on another thread before I saw this good "Question & Answer" thread, Just so many can't keep track! Anyway my question tonight has to do with the "mixing vial/bottle" I have 3 vials of 2000iu hcg and I purchased 1 bottle of b-water and ONLY 1 glass mixing vial (clear) sealed rubber stopper. I plan on using that same vial in 10 days to mix the next 10 injections? Is that ok or not?

It's not good to do that Lindylu...you contaminate your fresh hcg with the old remenants. The bacteriostatic water is good for 30 days after you first puncture it if you keep it in the fridge. Go to gpzservices.com and order more glass vials, for cheap. You will have them in a few days. It's just not worth risking infection or messing up the potency of you hcg.

I am doing sublingual Sunday morning was my last dosage. My HCG supply was over, I am receiving my package tomorrow morning, but I cannot take my next dose until tomorrow evening as I will be as work. I am still on vlcd and need to loose more 15 lbs. Today is my day 16 of vlcd, but my hunger is killing me. I am just dreaming about food. What should I do? Load again or just continue with VLCD.

Will hcg show up if I go for a bloodwork ? We are planning for a baby and I need to go to my obgyn on the first day of my TOM around Oct 22, she is going to start progestrone medications as I had a misscarriage in April due to low progestrone. Should I continue my HCG during with progestrone medication.
