Default If dose needs adjusting...what increments?
Morning everyone! If you think your dose needs adjusting, how much do you go down or up at a time? Say your SQ 150 (.6 insulin needle),
would you go up to 175 (.7) or down to 125 (.5) all at once, or do you go in between? Trying to educate myself in case I need to adjust,
which I think I might have to. I was painfully starving yesterday vlcd3...today d4, so far I'm ok...but we'll see what happens this afternoon.
Yesterday around 2:00 was really bad. Hunger went away after dinner though, and woke up feeling good.

TIA!!!

Ann

Most of the time if you are hungry you go down. I do drops from but from what I read you will go down to .5.

I would try going down first. you'd be so surprised. I did really well at 125 for awhile, now I'm at 150. I started at 175 and ended up going down, with much success. who would have thought...less is more?! Also, I recommend trying a different dose about 2 days in a row before switching again. don't start adding too many variables at once. and drink more water

You're most likely to need to go down from a 150 iu dose. But before you decide, always do a skip day. That will tell you which direction to go.
