Default I'm back!!! Time to jump on the wagon.
Hopefully some of my friends are still on here. I haven't even logged on for MONTHS. I had a positive pregnancy test last June/July just as I was starting a new round. I lost the baby in August but I was close to 14 weeks by then. I tried to do it on my own, but never experienced miscarriage symptoms even after 2 weeks. The day I spiked a fever the doc scheduled the D&C. Within 4 days I was back in the ER with massive bleeding.
The only reason I say this is the last 7 months have been pure hell. I have never miscarried before and the recovery has been so much harder then a pregnancy (of which I've had 3.) Energy is GONE. Motivation is GONE. Depression has set in and I have very few good days. Being the anti-doctor freak that I am, I've been treating with essential oils, homeopathy, and energy work sessions and have been able to stay on top of things, but I still haven't felt like ME. I've learned through all this that any assumption of me NOT being an emotional eater has flown completely out the window. I never thought I was, but I'm catching myself doing it now.
I was so happy with my weight loss on HCG. I maintained for quite some time and was thrilled! But this emotional roller coaster has defnitely thrown me for a loop. I just decided last night to try this again. Don't judge, I have done full rounds and know how it works, I have also tried to cycle and seen how I fail but right now, I just need to see progress.... I have it on my calendar to take another PG test on March 9th. I realize I don't have enough time to complete a full round before that time but at least I'll see a bit of loss. If I can stay on my game, I can up my calories and rely on natural HCG during my pregnancy, but if it's negative, I'll just finish with my round.
If nothing else, I remember how good I felt on HCG. I actually DID have energy and my body didn't feel bogged down. I couldn't get out and run a marathon because I just physically didn't have enough sustanance for something like that, but the general feeling of well-being was there and that's what I need.
I need my support system back! Wish me luck. Today is Load-1. I'm getting my head wrapped around this. I know i can do it, I've done it before and been very successful. I'm trying to think positive.
If you've read this far thank you - and I'm so glad to be back!

Congrats yourself on 10 pounds to go! I wish that's all I had left. Lol a year ago it WAS!! :P Ugh, shake it off and don't dwell on it right? Thank's for the inspiration. It's great to maintain and reset your body to a comfortable level. Minei smore comfortable at a higher weight then I'M comfortable with... That causes issues. Lol

Honey, if you are trying to get pregnant I would NOT do this!!! There isn't enough food on the diet for the baby. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That's so hard to deal with. But you don't want to end up there again. Check out the leptin reset thread for now and consider doing it instead. It would help get your hormones back in order.

I am so sorry for the miscarriage; to put it simplistically, it is very hard to lose a baby.

I have to agree with Grammy. I wouldn't start anything at all that would change your hormone levels even slightly, or could change the outcome of a successful pregnancy. As most women know, so many pregnancies end in miscarriage very early, and if something tragic happened again even from the most natural of causes, you could have an awful lot of guilt to carry with you.

I would work on the most important goal - carrying a successful pregnancy - and then worry about hCG dieting when your body is your own again.

Good thoughts girls. Thank you so much! Grammy, what is the "leptin reset??" If I am pregnant, March 9th will be the soonest I can take the test. I honestly don't know what else to do at this point. The extra weight is definitely NOT helping with the issue that's for sure. Sever endometriosis on top of all of that. I definitely want one more, my husband doesn't have any kids, but the pain involved with the endometriosis is getting to be unbearable. If I'm not pregnant within the next couple months, I'm going to go ahead and have surgery again. I don't feel physically ready for that either though. I have no idea why it's been so hard to heal up from this.

you need progesterone honey. a low level might even be why you miscarried. It was my daughter in law's problem. And endometriosis is fixed when you get the progesterone levels up. Find a decent doctor.

The leptin reset is the last subforum under forums. Lots of us have had success with it. I won't repeat all the info here, there is too much to type out. But there is a ton of info there.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I went thru several miscarriages, suffered from severe endometriosis, tipped uterus and infantile cervix. I rode that same rollercoaster you have been on. I offer you the advice to stay positive, that it will be better. I wish you all the best. I was fortunate to finally carry one to full term even after being told it was not going to happen..

Colleen - We've discussed doing the progesterone shots if/when I get pregnant again. I have been on natural cremes and things, they seem to help for awhiel but then it's almost like I'm building up an immunity. I actually have a great doctor, I just don't go. I'm a little anti-doctor, and he realizes that too. Very understanding of the situation. I will read more on the reset and see what I can figure out from there!

Okay, one more thing to do to help stabilize those levels is to take pregnenolone too. I'd take 200-400 mg. And if you're using a progesterone cream that's prescription strength, rub it on the inside of your upper arms. I get way better absorption there. If that doesn't work, ask the doctor for a sublingual form that you hold under your tongue.
