Default Loose Bowels
I am on day 7 and have very loose bowels. Everyone was talking about the other problem, so I am wondering if anyone else has experience this?

I am having a bad problem with this and it is beginning to concern me. At first it was just loose but as the week has gone on it is getting worse, to the point I almost dont make it to the bathroom and it is like I am urinating instead of a bowel movement. sorry to be so graphic, but I am concerned, as I am on a long round and only on day 5 of injections. Is this ok or normal, should I be worried?

Ditto! I am not worried about it so much but it is a mad rush to the bathroom at times. It usually is about 30 minutes or less after I eat my meal. I think for me it is because my body is not used to the vegies. I was a heavy carb eater and never had vegies before I started this protocol.

If only I had your problem, although I don't know what kind of problem I truly have because I haven't had any "moving" experiences since starting VLCD 5 days ago.

It would be interesting to know if you are all taking the HCG the same way and if there is any kind of pattern to the types of foods you are eating.

I am using hhcg at 15 drops 3 x per day. Alternating spinach, cabbage and cucumbers for my vegies with my meats. I am using george foreman for the meats and steaming the vegies with a few spices on them, garlic, chili pwd and a little salt. I am only on my 5th day of vlcd maybe this will settle down, but I have to be honest I would rather have this issue than the other.

On day 10 of VLCD and my bowels are not nearly as loose. Now I go every other day, and it is not a mad rush to the bathroom.

I do injections, I do wonder if it is the veggies I am eating. Hopefully it will get better.

I am curious about what has happened to those of you with the loose bowels. Did you end up taking something? Did it just correct itself?
If so, how long, etc.

I had AWFUL diarrhea the morning of VLCD day 2, like I was going to faint, cramping, etc...much like I had frequently when I still ate gluten and dairy. I thought maybe it was because I was really eating so many veggies, more than i usually did, and maybe I was still getting rid of some of the crap I ate on my loading days. Then I had two days with no BM, so I drank Smooth Move Tea last night. I learned my lesson not to make a big cup - I passed something like soup this morning!! During the day and night I feel fine, but my bowels have been a little out of whack, too. I'm attributing it to the change in fiber in my diet.

Make sure to drink some electrolytes in your water so you don't get depleted. Is there an expert out there who can speak to this, because I'm also curious. Thanks!

Some say the loose bowels come from you body detoxing. I have had the same issue but it only last the first few days of VLCD.

On my first round I had this problem for the first few days. I figured it was from all the fatty food I ate on load days. It went away after a few days and then I had the other problem the rest of the round!!!

Hi everyone. This is my first post, I"m a newbie and came here in search of answers. My name is Christina, I am on day 4 of P2 and my toilet is holding me hostage. This is the 2nd day of very loose bowels and sorry if this is TMI, but I"m expelling mucus. I'm sure this is a good thing, but it still worries me. Anyone know if this is normal?

I'm on D15 (of a non-simeon hcg plan) and I have had loose bowels off and on. Worst ever this am though. Since we're on the subject, I also had a 3 day stretch with no bm's.

I do injections and the same thing happened to me. It was like pure liquid. I am actually on day 7 of the VLCD and they are getting to be less a day but still having issues. I read somewhere (as I also saw someone post below) that hCG is a very detoxifying process and that is what causes it.

My colon therapist (the person that gives me colonics) has told me that your body will create mucus to surround food that your body thinks is harmful. The mucus is from your body trying to protect itself from food that it cannot digest properly. For example, my body does not like oranges and creates mucus to protect my digestive tract from the oranges. So, no oranges for me.

I'm glad I found this thread, I too have experienced the mucus and now that I researched it online after reading this thread I feel better. I did some reading online and it comes from the lining of the large intestine. Can be very normal and considering this has never happened any other time, nothing to cause concern over. If it happens often even not on the protocol, it can be a cause for concern such as IBS.
