Default What brand & model bathroom scale do you use?
Confession: I've never owned a bathroom scale before. I was an athlete for most of my adult life and always tracked my weight at the gym.

I've been through two bathroom scales in the past week, a HomeMedics digital and a Sunbeam analog and I've returned both. Neither one gave me a consistent result. I stepped on and off several times and the analog varied up to 2 pounds in either direction and the digital up to 3 pounds. They were both on a flat surface. Hm... something tells me maybe I'm going to have to spend more than $40 on this, lol.

What scale do you use, how accurate is it and how much was it? Please help a bathroom scale virgin who's on a tight budget. Thanks!

I use a WW scale by Conair. Bought it at Target for 39, it is consistent.

I bought the Weight Watchers scale at Bed, Bath and Beyond
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...p?SKU=16923672
$59 and then I used the 20% off coupon.
It's consistent too and calculates 5 different things and is customizable to your height and age.

I'm a college student so I don't have money for anything expensive either. I got a digital scale from Walmart for like $20 that just shows the weight, nothing extra. It measures in .2 increments and I think it works fine. It shows the same weight as my mom's scale which is nicer and more expensive (I don't know what brand it is). My fiance uses the Weight Watchers scale which he found on amazon for a good price.

I'm in broke and in college as well, lol...So I got the same $20 wallmart scale and it gives me consistent results as well....Also compared to my Mom's weight watchers scale. It's white with a black textured place to put your foot, but I can't remember the brand either. I've done consistency checks every few months (step on it 3 times in a row, and again with a pound weight and it passes each time.

I ended up buying the same $20sh one from Walmart during my first round. The other scale previous to that would have such varied weights and couldn't be trusted.

I went and bought a Salter Digital Stainless Steel scale at BB&B. With the coupon it was $43. Got it home and it showed the same weight all four times I got on it, so I'm sticking with it for now.

This is the one I've got and I love it. Shipped directly from Amazon and have had no problems.

I've got a Taylor BF scale. We got it at Walmart about 3 years ago...
This is the same type (but a different model - makes sense in 3 years):
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Taylor-Gla...00000007346330
Runs around $25. We got ours for $30 back then.

I was having problems with consistancy of weighing until I moved it into my bedroom onto a piece of plywood. I guess that moving a scale around can make it give off readings. And, one never knows if your linoleum in the bathroom is 'even... Ever since I moved it, it's been perfectly consistant!

I really don't use the BF% much - but as I've lost weight, it seems to have gotten a bit more accurate.

I've also a Taylor scale. It's similar to this one, but older and without the Nautilus badge.

It's okay but the BF measurement is way out (much, much higher!) from the numbers I get from measurements also done by impedance at the doctor's office.

And lately, even with a fresh battery, it's been playing up. I weighed in at my ND's office this morning at it seems my home measurement might be high by almost two pounds.
