Dear All,
One year ago I lost 15 pounds doing HCG injections with a physician. This weight has stayed off. I waited 3 months, ordered drops and lost another ten easily. The round two weight came back pretty quickly, even though I really and truly did not eat bread or sugar! R3: I went back to expensive doc and lost the same ten plus another five or so. I went below my Last Injection weight after my dog died ![]() I loved being super thin, but maybe it was too thin to maintain?? or I didn't eat enough to maintain? or my own hormonal changes, ahem, brought on by either the HCG or my age...48? I simply cannot figure this out! The losing part is so easy, but the maintaining is so hard! Going to try again after Christmas. I have just ordered from ADC, so hope to have the drops in hand by January 1. Any thoughts?? Thanks! |

Dear All, How long were your second and third rounds? Dr. S stressed that a 23day minimum on p2 should be obtained before moving into p3, but most people seem to stabilize better with a 30day minimum round. Also, I know that many people stress that you don't have to count calories.... but, I did. I do. I make sure I don't consume more fuel than my body will burn off. In p4, I consume even less than I need so I am able to loose additional weight. I lost 40extra pounds in my first p4. Maybe SOME people don't have to count calories, but I do. I am so used to it, I do it with my eyes now! (as long as I know all the ingredients, which means I eat at home, which I prefer anyway!) |

Thank you ALouise. In the second round P2 was 23 days of dieting plus 3 VLC days. Round 3 was 28 days plus 3 VLC days.
I recall that for the next few months of P3 and P4, it was more likely that my calories were too few, rather than too many. Not the case now, but they aren't more than 1500-1800 max on a normal day. Before the diet I was a breakfast skipper. Post diet (P3 and after) I learned to eat breakfast. I find myself slipping back into old breakfast-skipping habits, and coincidentally, my weight has gone up...Maybe this has to do with Leptin? Or maybe just winter? |

My suggestion would be to take P4 as your time to play with things that give you gains by keeping a food journal until you lock down the source of your gain. Keep the food journal after you have a handle on what's going on, and see if other factors (hormones, not eating breakfast, physical activity, eating too little/much, stress, water consumption) are at work.
Perhaps your body is battling to get back to a certain weight, which would mean that you might need to stabilize a bit longer to wrestle it into seeing the world through your eyes. Either way, good luck ![]() Going to try again after Christmas. I have just ordered from ADC, so hope to have the drops in hand by January 1. |

I would get your hormones checked out, honey. You may be low in progesterone and thyroid. good luck! I want to lose this 10 pounds again! Dr. S. did mention that women in the first year of menopause can gain back the weight, so perhaps that is the problem. I am about to do R2 for the third time (which really makes it round 4 ![]() I am happy to report that my weight has not changed from the losses of round 1. Just the last ten pounds are the problem. AND all my new clothes are sized for the lower weight ![]() |
