I just stumbled upon this forum while trying to do some research on HCG and thought this would be the best place for asking my questions. As I am sure you all know, there is a ton of conflicting info online about whether or not the homeo HCG is effective. I understand the reasons for people saying it isn't (it contains no hormone, etc) but I have heard a lot of people also saying it works. I am getting super frustrated because I have read an equal amount of good/bad and am not sure what to believe. I was thinking of buying the HCG Platinum from GNC after the holiday and the reviews on there are a mixed bag. I am just really conflicted and could use some advice from REAL people using these products and your personal experiences. I see tons of different websites and brands out there and I am not sure if they are homeopathic or the real deal. I am not opposed to using the real stuff but I am not even sure it is legal to buy online.. or even available? I am super excited to try this diet but don't want to be sucker either and buy into the hype of something that doesn't work. I know that everyone is different and of course results will vary but could you guys please just tell me what you are using (name, homeopathic or not) and if it works for you (hungry, how much weight lost) or not? I am sure there are more threads with this question but I went back about 20 pages and didn't see any so it would be great if you could please share your experience whether good, bad, or indifferent. I really appreciate your time and hope with your help I can make the right decision for myself. Thank you in advance for any info you can provide.

Hi, I guess your first question is whether you want to do homeopathic or prescription strength. You haven't really mentioned in your text what you are leaning towards. Unfortunately, many of the homeopathic brands are being pulled from the market, and many in the past few months were just amino acids, not even homeopathic hcg. My understanding is that hcg is not listed on the homeopathic formulary, so the FDA is within its rights to call a halt to its sale. Prescription hcg is available legally at many doctor run clinics in the US...i live in a small town and even we have one. There are some other ways to get it, but since you mentioned "legal"....then you should go to a clinic in your area.....weight loss is a off label use of hcg, and is legal for a doctor to prescribe to you.
I have used the clinic in my town, and been very happy with it. Hope this helps some. ![]() |

Hi ILuvKats,
Thank you for your reply! I guess the reason I didn't mention a preference is cause I don't have one. My preference is something that works! ![]() ![]() |

I am not sure I can really answer your question since I have never used homeopathic HCG drops so I can't comment on them. And actually, I haven't used the real HCG drops either. However, I know that they ARE available online. Escrowrefills and several other sites has them. I am sure you can get recommendations on which sites to check out.
In my cases, I have been using injectable Ovidac HCG. Today is my 22nd day (I am doing 43) and so far so good. The diet has worked very well for me. |

Kelly WA - I did Homeopathic HCG and lost 30 lbs. A little hard at first but only in my mind. Once I got into it I adjusted and the diet was alot easier. I've never done the injections because I have a blood clotting issue that I don't want to stir up. Feel free to shoot me a private message and I'll answer any questions that you may have. I'm on Round 2 VLCD1.

I am using HHCG drops and they definitely are working. In my second load day I was unable to even force myself to eat as much as I should have and was not hungry at all. I was hungry that morning but in the afternoon and since I have not been ravenous. Yesterday was VLCD1 and I didn't drink or eat anything until about 3pm, I wasn't hungry, even without drinking water. Since yesterday I had a 2.2 pound loss, so it seems to be working. The brand I use is "Formula One All Natural Diet Drops with African Mango" by EFL Nutritionals. I chose this brand because the amazon reviews were great and a good friend of mine was able to lose 30 pounds in one round using this brand. She now is using Reflect Diet Drops (also HHCG) and has lost another 30 her second round. I wake up slightly hungry but as soon as I had a glass of water it's gone. And they give me an awesome boost of energy because they contain B vitamins. I looked up how each ingredient works in the body and I was impressed at the combination of homeo ingredients they use. Now, remember though FDA does not approve the sale of HCG for weight loss aid, HHCG are not regulated by the FDA. This means an equal risk that they are bogus, or that they contain ingredients harmful to your health but that's a risk we take. The ONLY legal way to get true HCG drops or injections is via prescription, mostly from weight loss clinics. I know a lot about the FDA regs because I work in a pharmacy.

Please, whatever you decide, do not use the drops sold by GNC, RiteAid, CvS or Walmart. They are not real, they do not contain any HCG. They are just a mix of amino acids that supposedly mimic the effects of HCG. I tried The Hcg Solution Ni Gen by Biotech sold by CVS. I lost 9 pounds in the first 10 days but I was starving. After the 10 days I could no longer stand the hunger and ate everything no nailed down. Hope this helps.
