Hi all.
I am trying to stay on Dr. S's protocol. And except for one night where I cheated big time....I have done it. The problem is with my proteins. See, I have serious aversions to most seafood/fish. That basically leaves me with chicken, steak, and ground beef. I know steak and ground beef are a little higher in fat, but I seriously cant stomach the chicken much longer. I gag when I try to eat it. Too much in the last couple weeks I guess. Anyway....without going too far off of the protocol, does anybody have any protein alternatives they have been successful with? Thanks!!! ![]() Jo... |

I am sticking to chicken and beef right now because P2 fish options don't make me feel like I've eaten at all. I am REALLY sick of chicken. Since I'm on a one day stall right now, I am thinking about dropping the beef, but kind of freaking out because I really don't know of any options that don't make me dread eating.
I think I might pan fry the absolute hell out of some shrimp and see if that helps me eat it. ![]() |

I know some people don't do well with eggs, but I've been using a lot of eggs during P2 and and doing great with them (1 whole egg plus 3 whites). I've normally been so-so with fish before HCG, a good piece of salmon now and then but not a whole lot. I normally love steak and super-lean ground beef.
On P2 I've been craving cod and halibut and shrimp like I can't get enough, and I'm developing a major aversion to beef. Strange, this diet has completely re-wired my taste buds, for the better, I think ![]() |

I had the same trouble and just couldn't stomach the chicken much longer. I tried a variety of stuff. Got a protein shake with very very little sugar...ate cottage cheese occasionally...could have drank a glass of milk (blah!)...I also bought some canned chicken packed in water. This didn't bother my protocol at all and really helped with the eating the same food everyday syndrome. Hope this helps!
