Here's my story: My first VLCD was March 28th. I'm 5' 6", post-load weight was 231 lbs, diagnosed with hypertension on Valentine's Day, otherwise ok health. Did a 41 day P2 with homeopathic HCG (combination of sublingual drops and pellets). Lost 28.8 lbs during R1P2, had some steady hunger issues throughout but not unbearable. Lost 1.5" in my neck, 2.5" in my chest, 4.5" in my waist, and 4.25" in my hips. LDW was 202.2 and I stabilized beautifully about 1 lb above that over the course of 3 weeks of P3 and 2 weeks of P4, really didn't run into trouble with anything I ate except when I overdid sodium. This may have made a difference: I DID NOT CHEAT ONE SINGLE TIME ON ROUND 1!
Gained 5 lbs loading for R2, which started 6/12. Switched to sublingual Hucog @ 250iu x 2/day, hunger issues have completely disappeared. Doing this round a little more rogue, nothing too crazy tho. I'm now on R2P2D17, and this morning I weighed 192.6. Total loss so far is 38.4 lbs. I have gone from a size 22/2-3X to a 16/XL. Had my measurements taken tonite for the first time since May 9, and WOW! Since May 9, I have lost an additional 3" in my chest, 2" in my waist, and 3/4" in my hips (neck didn't change and, FWIW, I have NO hips, NO ass, and super skinny legs so I didn't expect much of a change there). Cumulative totals: Neck -1.5", Chest -5.5", Waist -6.5", and Hips -5". The place I went to for R1 took measurements at 16 points (yeah, overkill) but if you add up my losses for ALL of those points, I have lost... 60 INCHES!!! That's an entire PERSON!! I just can't friggin believe it, I had to get on here and tell you guys... COULDN'T have done it without the help, support, and advice from this forum, that's for sure! THANK YOU THANK YOU!! So, you still curious about whether this diet really works? ![]() |

I thought you were asking the forum if this diet really worked and I was thinking "Are you serious?"!
Then I read your post and was relieved! So happy for you and your amazing success! I hope you post your before and after pics when you make goal. It'll happen in the blink of an eye (at least it feels that way when you are done, lol). Don't fret too much over the stalls. I had more zeros on this last round than actual movement on the scale but I am sure glad I stuck through it! |

LOL nope, I posted it for the people that ARE curious about it! My Before pics are on my blog, and I need to get a couple of current pics up there too (so I can look back on them later and think WOW and I was so proud of that, now look at me!). Have to get out of the habit of hiding behind the camera, that's going to be a struggle.
I've been following your progress and I'm totally impressed, BTW! It's funny, I spend most of my time on here "lurking" but there are so many of you that I feel like I REALLY know. So I'm gonna try to start posting more to make it a little less one-sided. ![]() |

That awesome!!!! I've been really pleased with my changes as well. My losses are only in the 14-15 range at this point (went up .5lbs this morning), and I'm ending my round this weekend. I had hoped for a little more loss this round, BUT, my clothes size has definitely gone down since I started. I was able to shop the regular Ladies section the other night, and I've gone from a 1X to an XL SLEEVELESS top!!! I would have never done sleeveless before, trust me!! I wasn't able to get my measurements before I started, but I really wish that I had. I'm about to start Phase 3 next week, and will be anxiously awaiting my second round 6 weeks afterwards - never said that about a diet before!!

Just thought I'd pop in with an update. One week left of R2P4 before I'm back for Round 3. Weighed 185.6 this morning, that's 45.4 lbs from when I started. Haven't stabilized quite as well this time but I've been experimenting a lot more with cooking and I have a tendency to overdo it a bit. I've gone from a tight 20 to a tight 14 in pants, and I actually own a MEDIUM shirt that fits now.
Had my 6 month followup visit with the doctor last week, been on meds for hypertension since I spent Valentine's Day in the ER with a BP high of 181/124. BP was 104/75 and he took me off my meds!! Unfortunately I'm still sensitive to sodium but oh well, I can live with that. ![]() Had my measurements taken today for the first time since 6/28, here are my total losses (since 3/23): Neck: 2.25" Chest: 8" (2.5" since 6/28) Upper Roll: 8.25" Waist: 8.75" (2.25" since 6/28) Hips: 7.5" (2.5" since 6/28) Arms: 2" and 2.75" Thighs: 2" and 1.5" Calves: 2" each You can't possibly STILL be curious about whether this diet really works, right? ![]() |
