Default anyone else feel absolutely fantastic on this diet?
Hey yall!

I was just noticing that I feel honest to God wonderful on this diet. I'm on day 8 and the only days I was truly cranky were loading days and the second day of VLCD. I was same old me for VLCD 3-5 but around day 6 I started feeling amazing. Granted, I got kind of sick with a minor cold but it's almost like I don't even notice it. I'm doing housework, going swimming, making breakfast and all still feeling wonderful. Before I would have been whining and trying to stay in bed with the crud.

I could see myself going through this round after round just to feel this way but I think it would not be a good thing since I only have around 38 more pounds to lose. It's like a rush though I'll miss it.

Anyone else feel this way? Just curious if it's normal or all in my head! Thanks

p.s. I'm unusually happy, giggly etc. That's not like me at all!

physically, i feel great as well, and I am on day 17. I feel more alert, and not groggy at all.

I have had some MAJOR dry face issues though... my face is burning!

I feel pretty good too. When I went into P3, still felt fairly good most of the time. In P3 and P4 it became evident which foods caused inflammation.

I noticed this yesterday (VLCD#5) I felt like I was light on my feet and had tons of energy. I have not felt light on my feet in decades. To the extent I made it to church, went and helped out during a very busy day serving at an area restaurant. Then I got home and went for a 5 mile bike ride with my 11 year old son on the local bike path and I smoked him, he was way behind me. I declared my final act of triumph when I hit the big uphill climb and made up my mind I was going to make it to the top, about half way up I passed this skinny girl who had given up on riding her bike and was now walking it up the trail.... It was all I could do to keep from yelling "EAT MY DUST TWIGGY!!!"

Now with all that being said, last night I had the best night sleep since starting the VLCD phase of this diet. I have had several episodes of insomnia. Now today I am a little more tired and sleepy and I am not really sore but my calfs are a little stiff today from the bike ride. I still had a loss of weight in spite of all the physical activity yesterday.

I nearly got myself in trouble today. My kids are attending College for Kids nearby this week and so this is definitely out of our usual routine, and I did manage to choke down a couple of cups of coffee in between making breakfast for them, packing lunches and all that stuff. So we left and I dropped them off and then since I found myself alone for a change I decided to go shopping for some stuff... I had not planned what I was going to do for lunch. Pretty soon I started feeling a little weak and jittery, finally about 1:00 I stopped off to visit my sister and was able to swipe an apple from her. So that held me until 4:00 when I picked the kids up and headed home where I finally ate some chicken and tomatoes. I am learning that I really have to plan ahead if I think I might be out and away from home for any length of time.

I've felt strangely the same! My DH was worried when I started this because when I don't eat I become a big irritated bear with claws and teeth lol... but I haven't had that happen! I've had the roller-coasters emotionally some days but that's just me. Mostly I feel great. Probably because I'm actually eating better now than I ever was.

Lol @ Q.

Yes I feel great. I hope to continue feeling that way even when I go into the next phase. I think it's eating clean and losing weight, I just have more energy and feel like moving!

Vlcd#9 here & feeling great, too. Maybe a little weak..it is either all in my head or it's so hot here! (though I'm indoors mostly)... Again, a lot of this must be all in my head.

I feel especially peaceful. & yes, enjoying the simple food, though it can get a bit too creative! I am learning some great cooking alternatives.

that's for sure! LOL. i feel quite crappy while on P2. You do end up a bit more alert, or "ADD" in a way. Some people like that, some don't because it makes it harder to sleep (moi).

BenN- that indicates your migraines are probably cause by a hormonal problem. colleen can give you some info on that- you might want to look into bioidentical hormones.

I usually get horrible migraines 2-3 times per week and I haven't had one now in 12 days on the VLCD, it's so weird.

I feel great on P2. This is my second round and glad to be back. I struggle with depression and when on P2 I don't sleep as much (still get 7 Hrs.) and my joints don't hurt as much and I don't feel depressed. I feel light and like my stomach being empty with no hunger. I like having all the extra energy that used to go into digesting all the BAD food. I think eating clean really helps with the inflammation and the hormones.

For those with migraines it could be hormones but it also could be food allergies. Us P3 to figure out if it is food allergies.

Happy Losing!

R1P2 was like that for me, I have chronic daily headaches and I think I had maybe 3 or 4 that whole time. My energy level started dropping around week 3, and then I started having muscle fatigue (like if I walked up a flight of stairs it felt like I had just walked up 10) and that kind of brought me down too. But the no-headaches thing was the most wonderful surprise! Slept like a ROCK the whole time, too, and I usually have trouble sleeping WELL. It was wonderful to feel GREAT for awhile!

Headaches came back to some extent during P3 and P4, which was really disappointing, I never could pinpoint whether they were triggered by a food or if it was being off the HCG or what. No debilitating ones, though, thank goodness, just the annoying ones that I could usually just ignore (or throw a few ibuprofen at).

Only 2 VLCDs into R2P2 and I haven't perked up yet, but no headache today so I'm hoping it's just building up slower this time (I used hHCG drops last time and RX subL this time). Fingers crossed!

Unfortantely for me, I discovered that yogurt causes a very bad headache. I'm so bummed. I've tested it 3 times now.
