Hi everyone,
I've read a few threads (did a search) and noticed some others have experienced rashes while on the diet. I have a rash all around my chest (side and bottom of breasts but not actually on them) and today it's gotten worse overnight and very itchy. I'm using the hhcg pellets. I've had this before in varying degrees from very mild/minor/one spot to as much as now. I had tried a similiar diet through injections at a clinic a couple of years ago and that's when I noticed this happening too. I always associated it with cutting out the fats in my diet - not having enough lubrication for the skin, etc. And it normally does get worse in winter. Normally, overall, I just have very dry skin...and have to use heavy overnight cream during the day for my skin to stay hydrated. So, I"m hoping/thinking that this is my body just getting used to things again...? When I did the clinic diet/injections...the rash did go away after a few weeks and would come back in much smaller form occassionaly. And when I stopped the clinic/diet....I had less flare ups over the years, but they haven't stopped completely (usually using Aveeno anti-itch cream right at the beginning when I noticed it starting would make it go away in a couple of days). Anyway...I"m writing to see if you have any thoughts/suggestions about this? Is there a supplement I could take that would help with dry skin? Oh - FYI - also went to a dermatologist when this started a couple of years ago and they could not figure out the cause other than to say my skin was dry and my bra strap was rubbing against me. I tried different prescription creams that didn't help - it just ran it's course. Thank you for reading this LONNNNG post and providing help. - Bri ![]() |

Had/have this same thing. Can't seem to fully get rid of it. My dr. gave me a compounded steroid cream that has helped a lot but it doesn't fully get rid of it. I'm going to start a new round next month and the HCG seems to aggravate it and I'm not looking forward to that! Hopefully, we'll figure out how to cure it sometime!

Ahh that's too bad you are going through the same thing, mini. I had used a steroid cream before and it didn't actually help me that much - not as much as those small tubes of aveeno anti itch cream.
Now it's getting to the point where the rash actually feels like it's burning (like after waking up/lying on it/rubbed against something). Not a pleasant feeling! I hope someone has ideas for some vitamins or something that helps us feel less dry. |

I've been doing some more research and it could be a yeast problem: candida/eczema type stuff. Threelac (probiotic), Lotrimin (antifungals) might help. I'm going to run out tomorrow and try to find something that can help with yeast/fungal problems. This actually might make a lot of sense for me and over the years. And perhaps this diet detox means things are flushing out. I read on another board people refer to it as the detox rash. Interesting.

If you have a blacklight shine it on there and if you can see more rash with it then it is a yeast infection and you have excess yeast coming out. If this is the case take oil of oregano I take a pill 2x a day and use tea tree oil on it. The oregano stabilizes your system from yeast and the tea tree oil cleans up the rash really good. Make sure you dilute the tea tree though

I had a pretty bad rash around day 15, I believe. It was mostly on the trunk of my body and was quite itchy. I have extremely sensitive skin (psoriasis outbreaks in past) so I am used to the itchiness, but I am sure I was more excited about moving to phase 3 for my skin than my hunger/cravings! The rash disappeared almost immediately once in phase 3, but it did stick around for 3 weeks.

Wow - oil of oregano is STRONG tasting...very spicy. Is that your experience, trying? Just put the tea tree oil on now...it is soothing quite a bit actually but we'll see how long that lasts. Is there a reason why we need to dilute in water? It looks like sometimes you can use it directly...? (I did dilute..just asking)

brizi77 - sorry to hear about your rash. I had a bad one all while doing P2 foods. Nothing over the counter helped so after 3 weeks of trying not to scratch, applying ice and being miserable , I went to see my Dr. and he said it was most likely a food allergy I'd never noticed before and prescribed Fluocinonide Cream 0.05%. After using it 2x a day, the rash cleared up in 3 days!
Later, I analyzed my foods and really though it was the strawberries since I was eating them almost daily while doing P2. After the rash healed, I only ate them 2 - 3 times a week and NO rash. Later, I found out it was actually the SHRIMP!!! I ran out of strawberries so wasn't eating them. For lunch one day, I had a nice avocado salad (now P3) and put 6 jumbo shrimps on top (yumm). Half an hour later, I started breaking out really BAD!!! Thank goodness I still had a lot of the Fluocinonide left. I put some all over the rash and the itching immediately stopped. The tiny bumps and puffyness took almost half a day to clear up but no itching or misery. I have had shrimp once since (had to finish up the jumbo one's I bought). Sure enough, rash within 1/2 an hour, cream applied shortly after. Can't say I'm done with shrimp but they no longer look as appealing as they use too. Good luck on finding your culprit. |

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to update you that it's nearing the end of day 20 for me and I still have this darn rash!!!! It's not as bad as it was and the tea tree oil certainly helps sooth it. The major areas are drying up/getting scaly BUT I keep getting some new areas around the old areas....again not as bad as before but I'm definitely still always itchy and always have some new spots come up. Can this still be a reaction to yeast/candida detox after this looooong? Maybe yes that I just had a lot of buildup combined with my sensitive skin? hmmmm. |

Umm right now it's on my chest (bottom chest, sides, up to armpits, not on breasts), on my back and lower back, and along the back of my neck/hairline.
They sort of start as an itch around a little bump you can't see...then the bump turns red...then I get a few of them in the same place...then I scratch scratch scratch 'cause it's itches and burns...gets a little bit of fluid...dries up...gets scaly...dries up/falls off...then my skin is red/pink (almost like new skin) but not itchy. Sorry this all sounds gross! lol. |
