I wait for a half an hour before I eat or drink; just to be sure. Good luck, Dreamer! This is a good place to get tons of info. and support.

Depends on if it's homeopathic or RX grade. RX grade is held longer, more like 5-10 minutes.

Dreamer - I'm doing this with 4 other friends. We all started this for the first time earlier this month. We are all doing great on it. The key is to not stray from the original protocol AT ALL. That's the way you keep out of trouble!

Nope...definitely no brocolli or cauliflower! Also, make sure you load really good and don't exercise too much during P2...if at all. With 4 of us doing it together, we can see the difference between who loaded well and who didn't. My one friend only gained 1.5 lbs during the loading and she's been exercising. She's been feeling really miserable, tired, and hungry!

A good way to pick up a lot of calories is eat pistachios! I bought a bag for my loading days, and I couldn't believe that an 8 oz bag had 1,250 calories!!!! Of course there are other foods out there, but for me, pistachios are one of those "mindless" eating foods; before you know it, their gone!

Dreamer, I was hooked on coke bad, but with the protocol I didn't want it. I was amazed how my body didn't really want soda like I used to have to have it before the protocol.

I second that with what "bodyslimway" says. I too loved my diet coke before. But for some great reason, I don't miss it at all. I even bought seltzer water to use with with my flavored stevia drops, thinking that I'd need that as a substitute for something "bubbly". But so far, all I really drink is tea or water. I really haven't had any cravings on this, so maybe that's part of it. I am also going to try and continue not drinking soda even when this is all done. It just has so much crap in it which probably contributes to our messed-up metabolism.

I found this information on homeopathics very helpful. Lots of info I didn't know about! I will now stop drinking my caffeinated teas and stick with herbal! And interesting about the garlic!

And I used to work for a doctor who prescribed homeopathics .... I should know this! I did know that it was only necessary to leave the drops under the tongue for 30 seconds, though, as the drops are almost immediately absorbed into the blood stream.

Information About the Use of Homeopathics

Liquid homeopathics should be succussed before taking the first dose and once a week thereafter This is accomplished by holding each bottle in one hand and pounding the little finger side of that fisted hand against the palm of the other hand 50-100 times.
Drops, tablets, or sprays should be placed directly under the tongue for maximum benefit. If taking drops in this manner is a problem, they may be placed in a small amount of purified or spring water (1 Tablespoon) and put under the tongue. Do not use a metal spoon.
Drops should be held under the tongue for 30 seconds, and tablets are to be held under the tongue until melted. At the end of this time the homeopathic residual in the mouth is to be swallowed and the next one taken in the same manner until all homeopathics due at that time of day have been taken. Do not mix remedies together.
Homeopathics should be taken between meals, preferably before meals, unless otherwise specified. They should be finished no later than 5 minutes before a meal or taken at least one hour after a meal.
Homeopathics must be kept away from computers, x-rays, magnets, TV sets, microwave ovens, and any other strong electromagnetic fields. When flying, always hand carry your remedies on the plane with you, and have the security attendant hand-check them to avoid x-ray. Radiation and EMFs will destroy homeopathic effectiveness. If a homeopathic liquid is exposed to radiation or EMFs, about 90% of the effectiveness can often be restored by succussing the bottle of liquid 100 times. The potency of tablets cannot be restored.
Many strong odors drastically reduce the effectiveness of homeopathics: mint toothpaste, chewing gum, aromatherapies, camphor and menthol (often found in muscle sprain ointments, inhalants, and lip balms, lipsticks, cough and throat lozenges). These should not be used during the week after any homeopathics are taken or within one hour before they are taken unless otherwise directed by your health care professional.
Caffeine containing products (coffee, chocolate, colas, teas, etc.) should not be used while on a homeopathic program. Garlic, oregano, and most strong, aromatic spices should also be avoided as much as possible while on a homeopathic regimen, because all of these will reduce the effectiveness of a homeopathic program by as much as 60%.
Prolonged direct sunlight, laser, high frequency pulsed light, and heat above 125 F can make homeopathics ineffective.
