i think I heard about this. I believe it's called Wii diet or Wii Weight Loss Plan. I don't know the details though.

I read about that just recently. It was said that gamers could could burned 40% more calories and lose more than 10 lbs in two months by playing 30 minutes of wii games with exercise 3-5x a week.

Is that so? Are there confirmed reports that gamers actually lost weight while playing wii games?

I read that someone did lose 9 pounds in 6 weeks after playing wii games. There was also a report that children burned 3x as many calories in playing wii games than the playing the tradional hand held video games. A research is currenly being conducted if the participants will lose weight after 3 months of playing wii games and the result will come out sometime in June.

Sounds like fun to me. I'm also a gamer but I don't own a wii console (I have playstation 3). I'll wait for the confirmed weight loss reports. If it's proven to be effective, perhaps I'll go buy one.
