Default Best Foods to help you Sleep
If you're having trouble sleeping, here are a list of foods you can eat that will help you sleep:

1. Nonfat Popcorn - The carbohydrates in nonfat popcorn help bring the amino acid tryptophan into your brain, where it's used to make a sleep-inducing neurotransmitter called serotonin.

2. Halibut - contains tryptophan and vitamin B6, the two building blocks for better sleep.

3. Dried Tart Cherries - a handful of these have been to promote better sleep and lessen the effects of jet lag

4. Garbanzo Beans (Chickpeas) - rich in vitamin B6, which your body uses to produce serenity-boosting serotonin

5. Chamomile Tea - has a calming effect on the body. If you drink this before bedtime, it will make you feel sleepy.

6. Honey - reduces orexin in the brain, a neurotransmitter which has been linked to wakefulness.

Fantastic post Kathy. Thanks a lot. I hope one of these foods will work for me. I can sleep fine but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I can't get back to sleep. I'll definitely try these.

I love popcorn, I usually don't add anything else. Just plain and air popped. I didn't know they have additional benefit aside from being a low calorie snack.
