Default Another Salmonella Outbreak
I read from telegraph.co.uk that US health authorities recalled 380 million eggs after hundreds of people contracted salmonella.

Here's a quote from the article:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is working with state health departments to investigate the illnesses, which have so far not resulted in any deaths.

Victims of the tainted eggs are believed to have been identified in Minnesota, California, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Texas and Wisconsin.

Eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa, were linked to several illnesses in three states.
Cooking the eggs thoroughly will kill the salmonella bacteria but health officials recommends that people should throw away or return the tainted eggs.

Again? That's not good. At least there are no casualties, we can be thankful for that. I think it's best to throw the eggs away. It's best to be safe.

Salmonella bacteria exist only on egg shell so when scalded in boiling water for five seconds, that should kill them. I'm not sure how the bacteria got there though. Maybe the chickens were already infected by the bacteria.
